Fire Destroys Four Yachts in Antalya Yacht Yard

A big fire which started just after 1900 hours of Saturday tenth February in the Antalya free zone has burned down two yachts, and destroyed two other currently under construction.  Antalya fire fighting squads responded to the fire with fifteen vehicles, with cooling efforts still ongoing up till 21:00 local time.  The fire started in-front of U4 Marine and Interiors, which according to Google-Maps would mean that this is the Gree-Naval Yachts and or the Naval Yachts to it's right.  No one was injured in the fire, with a thirty meter super yacht which was stored in the shed during the fire reported a total loss.
As of this time we have no information what the yachts involved in this fire are, including the two under-construction which burned down.  If someone has any information what the yachts are feel free to get in touch with PowerYacht.

New Model: Vanquish VQ115 Veloce

Vanquish Yachts proudly presents the launch of the very first VQ115 at the shipyard in the Netherlands, the largest member of the VQ family as yet.  The VQ115 is one of the world’s fastest aluminium super sport yacht with conventional engines. To achieve the desired power output, Vanquish Yachts has installed three MTU 2650hp engines backed up by surface drives and a design that was taken as the starting point for this speed machine.  The narrow hull has been developed to optimize comfort and performance levels and increase efficiency at top speeds. Twin Seakeeper stabilizers will safeguard comfort at all speeds on this smart synthesis of a sport boat and luxury yacht. Outdoor entertainment options abound on the VQ115 Veloce with an expansive foredeck, large aft deck and flybridge sunbathing area.   A large tender bay will house a VQ16, lifted by a hydraulic loading platform, while a second VQ11 tender is  located in a second garage to starboard, also home to a live bait tank, paddleboards, sea bobs and other toys.  The flybridge has been superbly integrated within a distinctive exterior profile, part of a pure design with clean lines and the elegant, instantly recognizable Vanquish look.  The main deck saloon of the first VQ115 is fully tailored to the owner’s wishes with movable furniture to allow flexibility of occasion and time of day.  Office space is included for when work calls, there is a neat pantry with its own cocktail bar, plus a day head to keep the lower deck private. Stairs rise to the sport flybridge above while the aft door opens fully to create a unified space with the aft deck: matching floors will ensure continuity between the outdoor and indoor spaces. The lower deck features a more extensive galley and a U-shaped seating area in a country kitchen style. Project: ISA Yachts Gran Turismo 80M

ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, is delighted to announce that the new project Future, ISA Gran Turismo 80 metres, under construction at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona, is taking shape with the steel hull nearing completion. The vessel was sold in July this year and will be delivered in 2027. Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi, who penned the exterior lines, will also be responsible for the interior design. The naval architecture will be completed by Palumbo Superyachts’ in-house team. ISA GT 80 is a sporty coupé with sinuous lines that breaks down the boundaries between indoors and out to create a unique and sophisticated fil rouge. The studied contrast between the hull colour, in steel grey with charcoal details, and the minimal windows confers an even slender appearance to the project and emphasizes its horizontal element. The sky-lounge housing the wheelhouse looks like set back so as not to break the slender line and to emphasize the distinctive ISA arch, here even more dynamic, which connects all the decks. Forward on the main deck, we find the infinity pool connected to the owner cabin via a lit up path with great scenic impact. The owner cabin is a true glasshouse, where the most unobtrusive uprights give centre stage to the opening floor-to-ceiling windows enhancing the sense of continuity between indoors and out. The outdoor furnishing is organic, characterized by round shapes and very modern curves combined with warm wood for a glamorous yet high-quality elegance. The equipped gym is located on the starboard side of the upper deck, which is the bridge where also the wheelhouse and the captain cabin are set. On the main deck, ISA GT 80 features 5 double cabins, including a VIP with lounge. The owner cabin located on the upper deck forward comprises two bathrooms, one with tub and shower, a vanity area, two wardrobes and an office. A sixth VIP cabin with twin beds has been provided on the lower deck. The crew area on the lower deck consists of ten cabins that can accommodate up to eighteen people.

In 1950 the show had 92 exhibitors, with these becoming 143 in 1951, while 1953 saw the show reach a record breaking 50,000 of attendants.  The 26th edition of 1967 set the still unbeaten attendants record of 171,495 even though the show was asked to move its date to January so as not to collide with the New York boat show.  In 1968 the show gets named the Miami International Boat Show, returns to it's February calendar dates and debuts at the Miami Beach Convention Centre venue, which it will keep up til 2015. In 2016 the Miami Boat Show returned to where it started in Biscayne Bay.  During the seventies, eighties, and nineties the show expanded its size many times till we arrive to the six locations of today.
