New Model: Palm Beach GT60 Jetdrive

Palm Beach enter its GT series into a new era, as it presents the GT60 with Jetdrive. The Jetdrive version is to be available even on the smaller GT50. With the GT60 Jetdrive, Palm Beach enters into Hinckley territory from a certain point of view, although it is fair to say the GT series is a bit a cross-over styled sporty yacht with hull lines of a down Easter, and a modern more adventurous super structure. In respect to the standard IPS version the GT60 Jetdrive offers little differences, the hull is a bit longer on the chines but a bit shorter in the centreline for the jets, and with the no running gear to the bottom a thirty centimetres less of draft. The first GT60 Jetdrive unit is a customisable boat, painted in a dark near black grey it featured an un-edited open stern layout, with a mezzanine looking aft settee, but also a no patio door main deck. The Palm Beach GT60 Jetdrive is powered by twin Volvo 1000hp with Hamilton water jets and achieved up to 43 knots top speed, with a 35 cruise, which would make it a three knots faster boat to the IPS version.

Project: Absolute Navetta 66

Absolute present the Navetta 66 project, an evolution and replacement to the Navetta 64 which debuted in 2021.  As major differences the Navetta 66 will add a larger cockpit with the open veranda layout which has proven to be such a success for the Absolute since it introduced this concept on the 60 Fly in 2021, that most other builders have copied this feature since then.  In the Navetta 66 adds a special feature of offering an aft guest suite with direct access to the bathing platform.  How is that for a privileged spot for a special guest.  Probably some owners, might also trade this for the larger owners suite forward.  The Navetta 66 is a four guest cabin boat; owners cabin forward, VIP suite to midships portside, double guest cabin to starboard, and the previously mentioned guest suite aft.  A crew cabin is located to starboard at midships, with entry the starboard side-deck.  The Absolute Navetta 66 offers an astern galley layout, with a dining table for eight opposite the galley, and a relaxing L-shaped sofa, while forward and two steps up is a the central helm station.  The flybridge of the Navetta 66 is huge, and is one of the three exterior entertainment areas which offer dining and lounging seating, the other two located forward and the ever existing aft deck.  The Absolute Navetta 66 is to be powered by twin Volvo 900hp as standard or optional 1000hp.

New Model: Focus 3X

Focus launch the awaited new 3X, an innovative hard-top sport cruiser which breaks a few barriers between a sport-cruiser to those of walk-around day boats.  The Focus 3X shines because it offers similar exterior spaces to those of more open cruiser, with an interesting cabin layout.  The innovative exterior which gets more interesting thanks to the extended hard-top design with two-meter wide electric side windows and the electric glass hardtop in the cockpit, enabling it to seamlessly transition to an almost entirely open boat.  This unique feature provides interesting flexibility and connection to the sea.  Flexibility though does not stop here in the 3X, as it offers two options for the cockpit deck, and four lower deck layout choices.  The cockpit deck comes with the L-shape deck layout, with the option being for symmetrical opposite settee choice.  The lower deck which comes standard with a forward double berth; a small dinette to port side with L-shaped galley opposite, and shower head to starboard at midships.  The flexibility here is endless and what actually never changes is the forward cabin with central double berth, with the most interesting option being the B2 choice for a second cabin with double berth at midships starboard, a shower head forward, and a galley to port.  The Focus 3X shows again its flexibility also in its power choices offered with six engine choices; diesel, gas, sterndrive, and one outboard choice.  The smallest engine choice is the Volvo or Mercruiser diesels at 270hp, with the larger being the twin 430hp Mercruiser.

New Model: Riva 54Metri

54 metres of pure beauty, a masterpiece of elegance and majesty that takes the style of the world’s most famous shipyard into a new dimension: the first Riva 54Metri, the largest Riva ever built, has been launched at the Superyachts Division in Ancona at the beginning of August. With a length over 54 metres the all-aluminium Riva 54Metri has a gross tonnage under 500 GT and is perfectly aligned with the timeless style that has always defined the brand identity that makes Riva unique. Majestic and elegant, Riva 54Metri is the result of a joint effort by Officina Italiana Design, the firm of Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta and exclusive designer of the entire Riva range for over thirty years, the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. Riva 54Metri’s sleek, sporty lines capture hearts right from the very first glance: a sophisticated combination of Moon Grey, London Grey and Bright Black, with detailing in polished steel, points up the yacht’s classic, sculptural silhouette and unmistakable aquamarine waterline. The largest Riva ever built spans four decks; with the lower, main and upper decks connected by a lift located amidships.  Accommodation is for ten guests in four guest cabins and a majestic master suite at the bow on the main deck. The crew area has five double cabins and a captain’s cabin next to the wheelhouse, for a crew of eleven. The spectacular outdoor areas are the stand-out feature of Riva 54Metri, designed to establish a permanent connection with the water for owner and guests, as well as to offer opportunities for fun and relaxation in complete privacy.  At the stern, a large transformer platform with an extra-wide walkway provides access to the beach area, where a five-metre-long pool takes centre stage, flanked on either side by sun loungers. Five steps higher, the welcome area on the main deck is a refined space, furnished with a large sofa, armchairs and an outdoor bar that leads to the main lounge. Both hull sides in the beach club and main deck cockpit areas fold out to form magnificent terraces on the water. At the bow, the innovation that pervades Riva 54Metri takes the form of two large sun sofas that extend the lounge area and hide part of the technical space beneath from view, designed with a hinge mechanism to make it easier to launch and haul up the tender, jet ski and water toys.  The interiors feature fine marble including Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino, alternating with natural teak panelling and leather finishes to create elegant contrasts of colour and texture throughout the boat.  There was a sharp focus on guest privacy, with special crew routes to ensure discreet and efficient service on all decks. Acoustic comfort was another design priority, with solutions that ensure maximum insulation and reduce vibration and noise to a minimum, including four electric stabilizer fins and two electric rudders, designed to ensure the maximum possible comfort and silence when under way. The innovative approach to the entire project is also reflected in Riva 54Metri’s helm station, which is equipped with two X-band radar systems, 5G connectivity plus a Starlink antenna, a full ECDIS system, three 27-inch touchscreens and a 44-inch stretch monitor.  Riva first 54Metri is reported to be powered by twin MTU 1800hp for top speeds up to eighteen knots and a cruise of fourteen.

Giorgio Armani 1934 - 2025

Giorgio Armani the famous fashion designer and founder of the Armani luxury fashion house, left for the better World on four September at the age of 91, at his home and surrounded by his loved ones.  Giorgio Armani was recovering after an operation, which was kept secret till the very end.  Born in 1934 in Piacenza, Giorgio Armani was studying at the University of Milan for three years before completing a two-year stint at the Military Hospital in Verona. His first footing in the fashion world came from his role as a window dresser and sales clerk at Milan's famous La Rinascente.  From there, the young Armani freelanced for stylists and design houses of Nino Cerruti, Allegri, Bagutta, Hilton, and Montedoro.  The freelancing job will lead Giorgio to befriend Sergio Galeotti, an architectural draftsman that persuaded him to open a design office in Milan.  In 1975, Armani founded Giorgio Armani in Milan, followed by the Giorgio Armani Corporation in 1979. The company became swiftly one of the leading names in international fashion, operating under product lines such as Giorgio Armani Underwear and Swimwear, Giorgio Armani Accessories and Armani Beauty.  Giorgio Armani was an avid sailor, and has owned a 24 meter sail yacht, and two Codecasa super yachts.  The first was the fourth hull of the 50 meter semi custom series name m/y Mariu named for his mother, and the second what was his current yacht named Main, a fully custom 65 meter hull number C.115.  Giorgio Armani's Armani Casa also started a collaboration with Italian Sea Group and Admiral Yachts in 2020, as it designed the interior but also oversaw some exterior details of the 72 meter Project Metamorphosis which was launched this year and will be presented at this years 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.  The second hull of Admiral's S-Force 55m launched in 2023 m/y Silver Star I also featured interiors designed by Armani Casa.  Giorgio Armani has also sponsored since 2022 the Super Yacht Regatta, an event held for super sail yachts over 27 meters, and sailing catamarans over fifteen meters since 2008 in Porto Cervo, and patronized by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

Project: Maiora M30

In the wake of the extraordinary success of the Maiora 30, the shipyard will present a preview of its new project, the M|30, in Cannes, with the first unit due for delivery in summer 2026. The M|30 builds on the legacy and strengths of the Maiora 30 and enhances them further. With a length over thirty meters, the new Maiora M30 come with a two decks and a half layout, for an interior with five suites to accommodate up to twelve guests, with the owner's suite located on the main deck and the four guest suites on the lower deck. Like the entire M line, the M|30 has been designed to convey a sense of fluid dynamism, thanks to a skilful balance between sleek shapes and generous volumes: every curve suggests an intentional and never forced movement, in a harmonious interplay of surfaces that creates an almost coupé-like profile, elegant and with a distinct personality. This is Maiora's third project born from the collaboration between Quartostile studio and Acube Design, which has designed the interiors with an evolved, soft, and welcoming aesthetic language. Already protagonists of the success of the M|36 and the restyling of the 36 Exuma, the creative trio once again confirms its stylistic vision in a masterful proposal that is best in class. The exterior design of the Maiora M|30, by Quartostile, features a more slender superstructure towards the bow, lending elegance and dynamism, consistently echoing the lines introduced by the Maiora M|36. The large full-height windows and the use of glass on the bulwark eliminate visual barriers, creating continuity between inside and outside and an airy atmosphere. The enlarged and more functional stern beach area integrates perfectly with the main deck, providing a large 'alfresco-veranda' area, while the upper deck maintains and refines the popular WalkAround concept, with smooth, step-free passageways, as well as the SunDeck, redesigned to maximize conviviality and freedom on board. The exterior layout is completed by a signature light strip along the sides, which reinforces the family feeling with the M|36, and a bow garage for water toys or convertible into a pool and sunbathing area. The interiors designed by Acube Design, express an organic and sophisticated aesthetic with soft lines, natural materials, and rooms flooded with light thanks to large glass surfaces. On the main deck, the main saloon is designed for maximum flexibility, while the full-beam owner's suite stands out for its brightness, panoramic views, and refined details such as a large en-suite bathroom with windows, a generous walk-in closet, a beauty corner with an illuminated mirror, and a transverse desk that can be used as a breakfast table or home office. The extended upper deck offers additional customizable configurations and an independent pilot house, while the lower deck houses the four guest cabins and a crew area with five berths, with separate access and functional spaces. The design philosophy combines comfort, elegance, and functionality, creating welcoming and refined environments designed to be enjoyed at any time of the day.  The Maiora M30 is to be powered by standard twin MAN 2000hp, for top speeds up to 21 knots.
