The success of explorer yachts in steel and aluminum designed by Cantiere delle Marche continues. The shipyard based in Ancona, Italy, announces the sale of an explorer yacht Acciaio 118 for one lucky owner. The sale was made in collaboration with Arcon Yachts, which introduced the customers to the shipyard and have followed every single step of the negotiation with great skill and ability. Arcon Yachts will also be the Build Representative: a natural choice since Richard Kaye performs the same activities for the first unit Acciaio 105 under construction. In fact, the new yacht comes after only six months from the sale of the first Acciaio 105: this model too is designed by Hydrotec, and will be the synthesis of the technical expertise and the design of the leader shipyard in manufacturing explorer yachts in steel and aluminum. Again Cantiere delle Marche proves to be perfectly able to accurately identify the market needs and consequently optimize its offer to meet those needs. Always keeping focused its foundation characteristics their DNA the Explorer Yachts builder is able to broaden the horizons of this category by offering their owners the opportunity to experience the sea 'beyond yachting limits'. The yacht, scheduled for delivery in early 2019, joins the other 6 units, all over 100 feet, already under construction at Cantiere delle Marche. Acciaio 118’ is blending all the various components that were found in CdM production until now: a strong and robust construction, using steel and aluminum, a round bilge, full displacement hull that in the last projects has evolved including a bulbous bow and shallow water capabilities, high volume, tender garage capable of holding a six meter tender, enhanced external areas with elegant and smooth lines. The 350 ton vessel is using a high performing full displacement hull, with a bulbous bow, full midships section and smooth, flat aft sections which allow for optimal propeller space and an almost horizontal shaft line. These hull design features form a yacht with incredibly low fuel consumption and a long range, when coupling this with advanced hull reinforcements this creates a true explorer yacht. The hull has not only proved to be extremely efficient but also offers sea-keeping capabilities encountered only on much larger vessels. The Acciaio 118 has significantly increased sound proofing making the yacht incredibly silent and with great stability in all conditions creating a truly extraordinary and tranquil cruising experience. The external lines are a combination of elegance and character, with the longitudinal volume distribution becoming more balanced using long flowing lines, the windows are wide and perfectly harmonized both with interior and exterior. As has become synonymous with CdM and the Darwin line, the Acciaio 118 offers a custom interior layout with unrivalled volumes boasting on average 10 percent more space compared to its rivals. The standard layout holds potentially 6 guest cabins spread over 3 decks with 4 crew cabins. The main deck houses a generous lounge and dining with the full beam owner cabin situated forward. Located on the upper deck is a sky lounge/media room opening to a covered alfresco dining, forward of the helm is a further sun bathing area. Acciaio 118 offers a huge sun deck holding all the desired luxuries including custom Jacuzzi, bar, sun bathing and a naturally configured hardtop to allow a sheltered area for dining.

New Model: Dellapasqua DC10 SL
In the realm of boat builders Dellapasqua is that rare name who always takes the route of a conservative design evolution in the process of renewal of its models. The new DC10 SL from Dellapasqua follows this theme to the letter and this new SL flybridge replaces the S model before it. The difference is a soft one with the new SL having glued side profile windows and a design reminiscent of nineties Italian flybridge cruisers. But do not be mistaken as the DC10 SL for its simplicity in a length of just eleven meters has a lot going for it, in an honest package offering two or three cabins choice layouts below deck. But choice does not stop here, and DC10 SL can also feature one or two shower heads, and a larger galley option with this moving the helm station to port side. Power options for the Dellapasqua is a client discretion based with a maximum possibility of twin 370hp diesel engines. The Dellapasqua DC10 SL is an interesting flybridge cruiser for those who want a no frill simple design with a traditional deep Vee hull shape, with its only let down being the not so large 750 liters fuel capacity.

Project: Azimut Atlantis 51
Been about three years since Atlantis launched a totally new model, so the thinking was that Azimut-Benetti Group was re-valuating its entry level sport cruiser and yacht range, even though both the 43 and 50 models are good sellers. Comes Cannes show 2017 and Azimut-Benetti Group present the Azimut Atlantis 51 project. A new flagship of the Atlantis range, the 51 see the Neo Design team continue responsibility of the range as started in 2009. The Azimut Atlantis 51 sees the designers offer a similar super structure to the 43 model, with the hull taking inspiration from the third generation Azimut S series looks, see axe-bow with grill. Inside the Azimut Atlantis 51 will offer a traditional three double cabin six berths layout; owners room forward, a VIP double cabin to starboard, twin bunk to port side, and a saloon and galley in between. This is a surprise considering Atlantis has been in the past a pioneer in offering full beam cabins in the 425 SC, 47, and 55 models. But the surprise is even bigger when you see that the 51 will feature IPS pod propulsion, therefore usually allowing for larger cabin space. Interesting to note Atlantis return to the use of IPS pod drives with the 51 being the second model to offer IPS pod propulsion after the 50x4 model presented in 2008 and lasting production a couple years.

Project: Sirena 85
Sirena present the project for an 85 model, what is an anticipated and future flagship of the new Turkish boat builder range which has in its first year already launched the 56 and 64 models. The Sirena 85 project connects a family feeling with the smaller 56 and 64 models being designed for the exterior by German Frers. While for the interior design duties have changed to dutch architect Cor D.Rover, taking over from Spadolini who designed the 56 and 64 layouts. For the exterior German Frers went for a streamlined two and half deck raised pilot house modern design, with a semi wide body fore-ship. In the interior Cor D.Rover offers two different layouts with five or four cabins and both having the owner stateroom forward of the main deck. Worth a note here is the connection the owners cabin will have to the upper part of fore deck and a private access to the Jacuzzi located in this area. The Sirena 85 has a projected top speed of 26 knots, and at a cruising speed of ten knots should cover an estimated range of two thousand nautical miles.
