Project: Sessa 54 Sport Fly

PowerYachtBlog already gave announcement for this model back in March of this year, when Sessa announced it as a 52 Fly and with this the new flybridge range which will include four models. Now we have more details of the range which will be named Sport Fly and the first model to be is the 54 Sport Fly, what Sessa calls a sport fly bridge series, and says is a real step ahead for its customers, who eagerly await for the release of the entire new Sport Fly flybridge line. The 54 Sport Fly exterior reflects the motifs of the rest of the boat, designed to be muscular in build and distinctly sporty. Three large cabins and three living room/kitchen spaces, structured and revised to be as residential as possible, maximize the space available without sacrificing the bold shapes character of its "sport" model category. An interplay between the boat's interior and exterior features render an extremely functional one. Powered with IPS transmission not only makes the vessel safe and easily manoeuvrable, but it clears space on board. The colour scheme highlights the slender form of the model, and recalls the new C68 flagship model. The fly bridge, a feature unique to the 54 Sport Fly, will have a galley equipped with grill, sink, refrigerator and seating for seven, which with the sliding curtains, the space becomes a true solarium: furnished, useful and as comfortable as the rest of the boat. The fly bridge truly turns the model into a vacation home with patios and lookout points that never display the same scenery twice. The spacious master cabin at mid ships is large and luxurious suite with a breathtaking panoramic view, a private bathroom with toilet and shower, an LCD screen, a wardrobe for two, and ample shelf space. It remains up to the ship's captain to decide how to personalize the living room. Choices are between a kitchen with a bar, or the more traditional dinette configuration. Also available are numerous additional elements such as the retractable flat-screen TV, the roll away shades integrated into the window panes, the wine display cabinet or the bar on the upper deck of the fly bridge. Sessa has turned this yacht into one of the most luminous in its category, emphasizing to the extreme the relationship between the vessel and the open sea. Its enormous windows, numerous portholes and the use of materials down to the last detail are all geared at ensuring that as much light as possible be present on board. The entrance to the three cabins lower kitchen are immersed in a well of light streaming directly in from the windshield of the upper bridge. The master cabin, with its large windows and many openings to the outside, has been designed with the same goal in mind: to maximize the light's influence within the suite. Sporty looks, with a liveable feel, the three cooking areas and the open spaces on the deck, the gorgeous settings and quality finishing are all virtues that are further highlighted by the high-level operations made possible by the scale of the boat's keel and by the IPS motor system. The hydraulic bathing platform holds a 3.2-meter tender that can translate vertically to allow for boarding in a variety of conditions. This boat, both elegant and welcoming, also equipped with a well sized crew cabin, will give rise to exceptional performance with a max speed of 37 knots.

Project: Sessa C38

Sessa present the project for the new C38, a hard top sport cruiser set to be presented in September replacing the C35 model after ten years of production and over five hundred deliveries. The task for the new C38 seems already hard to match, but the premises shown from the above renderings and Sessa research into quality and a desire for continuous improvement, will surely make this another success for the North Italian boat builder which has become a point of reference in the nautical industry. Designer Christian Grande presents a project with linear structure and the importance of light through large glass panelling, characteristics that are part of Sessa's unique new C68 flagship, which will also be found in the C38 and followed suit in all future projects. One of the key points for the C38 is the optimization of the internal space allowing it to have one of the biggest bathrooms in its class as well as an independent owner's cabin and an aft cabin with two separate beds that can be made into a large double. A key innovative design feature of this yacht is a large number of windows and portholes, helping to reduce the structural barriers and allowing you to get closer to the sea. Another interesting element are the two galleys, an internal one designed by a famous Italian kitchen designer and another external one, found in the cockpit, with minibar, counter and stove. Like her larger sisters, the C38 will also be equipped with a modern electrically opening Hard Top to ensure the highest degree of comfort when cruising. A large swim platform at the stern where one can stow a larger than normal tender, dedicated tanning zones, chaise lounges, sofas and an automobile styled helm station are only some of the details that make this yacht unique. The yacht will be presented during the Cannes boat show and available with twin Volvo D4 300hp stern drive with the option of a joystick control to facilitate manoeuvring while docking. She will be available in either bronze, navy blue, squid black, or white. Impressive to say that despite the financial crisis Sessa will go to the fall of the year boat show season with a complete set of three new models.

Project: Sessa 52 Fly

The ever attentive and improving Sessa Marine, take off its flybridge range set to present its first model the 52 Fly in the coming Genoa Boat Show next October. Sessa has 4 total models in plan for the new range from 45 to 70 feet, to debut them in a 4 years period, with a new name to be announced soon. The design for the flybridge range is by Christian Grande who continues his work for Sessa as the recent models from this Italian firm. Here Grande presents a very sporty flybridge yacht, offering a rounded design with sharp edges associating a performing attitude reminiscent of sports cars from the fortys and sixties. Other important aspects of this range is the propulsion with all models set to be powered by Volvo IPS, but also the interior is set to offer something fresh from the competition with a 2 galley plan but also a layout associated for long time live aboard solutions. The 52 will be powered by the 2nd generation Volvo IPS850 pod drives. An other interesting feature will be its presenting color of white for the edges, and a bronze color with metal inserts for the rounded parts.

New Model: Sessa C 52

Sessa C 52, the famous Italian builder flagship, is now being presented in a new and revised version. The first notable difference is the hard top, now revised with a more aggressive profile, similar to what we have seen on the successful C 46 introduced last year and the new C 43, the 2008 novelty for Sessa Marine Yacht Line. Other important differences are the more powerful engines now offering Volvo's D12-800 series 774hp as the top option, better designed outdoor cockpit with new and sporty windows for a better clearer visibility and two new broadside colourings Copper and Turquoise, adding on the previous Navy Blue and Ruby Red. Inside Sessa also improved its option now offering two indoor versions: “Tradition” and “Innovation”, both with a strongly innovative and unique personality. Worth to note that Sessa in recent times has shown impressive new models, and this new version of the C 52 keeps on improving the already successful flagship model.

New Model: Sessa C43

If you had to ask me the question which of the main builders have improved dramatically in recent times, my answer would surely include Sessa as on top of the list. The Italian builder has upgraded the class, standard and quality of it's boats, not only in it's recent bigger boats but also in the smaller ones of it's range. The new C43 announced as a project in Summer continues Sessa improvement in quality and style, creating an elegant design which leaves nothing to chance, with bands and stops underlining the structure contour and revealing the outer strength of the hull. Inside, each detail is finely crafted to create an atmosphere which is both modern and uncluttered but also mellow and welcoming. A successful choice of materials and colours provides a play on contrast and allows the boat’s inside to be visualised in a different manner, reinventing marine interior design, giving each view a 3D dimension. In this spirit, the lounge and galley present a play of colours and materials creating a unique, modern atmosphere: textured leathers on black lacquered wood or walnut, as well as velvet partitions enhanced by fetching steel pieces. Power is entrusted to double Volvo 370hp available in IPS pod propulsion or stern drives, with the later giving better performance and the former easy tight manoeuvring. Designed by architect Christian Grande, new Sessa C43 follows the style and philosophy of the much praised C46 introduced last year, but in a more compact thirteen meter length.

Project: Sessa C43

For the new season, Sessa Marine presents an elegant new 43 foot boat which is sure to become a reference on the market. Calling and improving on the characteristics of its big brother the C46, highly successful in 2007, the C43 offers a perfect balance between carefully chosen design and high technology. For this project, Sessa Marine has once again entrusted the interpretation of its stylistic philosophy to the designer Christian Grande, who has signed here a first-rate concept, in the tradition of the new range developed by the site since last season. An elegant design which leaves nothing to chance: bands and stops underline the contours of the structure and reveal the strength of the hull. Inside, each detail is finely crafted to create an atmosphere which is both modern and uncluttered but also mellow and welcoming. A successful choice of materials and colours provides a play on contrasts and allows the boat’s interior to be visualised in a different manner. Sessa Marine thus reinvents marine interior design, giving each view a 3D dimension. In this spirit, the lounge and galley present a play of colours and materials which create a unique, modern atmosphere: textured leathers on black lacquered wood or walnut, as well as velvet partitions enhanced by fetching steel pieces. To retain among the strong points of the layout: a significant effort to render the boat spacious and luminous, notably thanks to the large glass openings on the side to light the owner’s cabin, and the electric Hard Top’s generous opening; entertainment accessories such as loud-speakers and holders integrated into the trim, to take full advantage of the outside space; at the heart of the cockpit, the sun lounge and well-equipped bar make for enjoyable afternoons. A seductive contemporary character for the outside trim with its tones of cream and chocolate. The C43 offers two spacious cabins, each with its own private bathroom. The VIP is fitted with a double bed which can be converted into two twin beds. This 13,20m model is available with two engine possibilities by Volvo Penta: 2 x IPS500 or the two D6 370HP. The series version is "customizable" thanks to a wide range of options such as the teak deck, the generator or the entertainment and galley layout equipment.

Project: Sessa C65

Sessa Marine announces the development of a new 65 feet boat within the open hard top segment. After the launch of C52 and C46, a new pearl will join the Sessa Marine fleet the C65, result of a team work of excellence: Christian Grande for the design, Arnaboldi Studios for the waterlines and Sessa Marine Engineering department for the manufacturing. The first big challenge is the design: the boat will represent the stylistic innovation that Sessa Marine showed during the last years, being one of the most innovative manufacturer in terms of design and style. The challenge now is to introduce a new boat with exclusive details of style with new materials that will be the trend for next years. We can say that the C65 will introduce a new concept in yachting market, transforming spaces into verandas and “look trough” rooms, taking away the sensation of closed spaces, well known limit of the medium - small yacht. The target is to translate the concepts as the high washboard, the big windows, the hangar and bow shapes of the big yachts, into a 20 meters boat that will become the point of reference for the market.
