New Model: Ocean Alexander 60 Trawler Series

Ocean Alexander present the 60 Trawler Series, second new model in this new line of explorer yachts presented in the just past year. The 60 Trawler is actually an extended version of the slightly smaller 54 with the same beam, and draft, but having a longer hull which gives a larger flybridge and more spacious aft deck. The flybridge will give extra space for your tender toys, while the aft deck grants more area for Al Fresco entertainment. It's interior layout is also the same as the smaller 54 with the split level saloon welcoming you on the main deck featuring an L-shaped settee, galley, and dinette with dual seated helm station to fore. Below is two generous cabins, with a mid ship located stateroom for the owner, and a VIP guest suite to fore. There is also a rather large utility room. Although not communicated the rather large 5300 litres and single 300hp Deere engine should give a rather long range, of which I imagine enough to do trans Atlantic crossing. An optional of twin 455hp Caterpillar which should give faster 14 knots top speed but less range is also available. The design is of the Ocean Alexander 60 Trawler Line is at the hands of Evan Marshall, Ed Monk, and Desty Darr.

New Model: Ocean Alexander 68 Pilothouse Motoryacht Series

Ocean Alexander continue to expand its Motoryacht series line by launching the new 68 Pilothouse, which offers a design echoing modernity with a classic touch. Coming from two important novelties in recent times that of launching its important Megayacht Series on the upside scale, and also presenting its entry level Trawler Series explorer yachts range which challenges other famous builders in this new challenging and growing segment. The 68 is a mid range motor yacht which feels like a small ship, and has a semi planning hull which should give medium speeds in the twenty knots region. Inside the 68 Pilothouse Motoryacht layout is a three cabin, with an owner suite located mid ship featuring a separate entrance stair case, and full view circular windows on both sides. A VIP suite is located to fore, and another double guest cabin also with its own bathroom is located to port side. A single crew cabin with single berth is located aft. The saloon is a split level offering an entertaining saloon on the lower level welcoming area, and an open galley, a dining table for six and central located pilot house in the raised area. Worth to note that everything on the 68 feels like coming from bigger sized yachts from the mooring cleats to the feeling large flybridge area which is covered for half of its space by a fiberglass hard top. Power is from twin standard MTU 825hp, up to a more powerful optional choice of 1200hp also by the German engine producer.

Projects: Ocean Alexander 145 Megayacht, Ocean Alexander 125 Megayacht, Ocean Alexander 115 Motoryacht

Ocean Alexander, a yacht builder funded thirty years ago, creates an alliance with Christensen Yachts, the renowned American shipyard specializing solely in the manufacture of Super Yachts from 160 to more than 200 feet, to build the new Ocean Alexander bigger yacht series. Construction will take place in Christensen's Vancouver, Washington yard, lending this US builder long history of quality construction. Ocean Alexander recently expanded its product range to include three Super Yacht projects: 115 Motoryacht, 125 Megayacht, and 145 Megayacht, partnering with acclaimed designer Evan K. Marshall. The 145 Megayacht will be the future flagship of the Taiwan boat builder. Plans and engines for the three decked Super Yacht are not so far available. The exterior lines are similar to the other two smaller models, but the underwater sections are new, being longer by about twenty foot, and having a wider beam of 68 centimetres to the 125.
The 125 Megayacht above is set to continue Ocean Alexander collaboration with Christensen and Evan K. Marshall. The 125 Megayacht is in fact over three metres longer to the similar but smaller 115, and has a wider beam by 46 centimetres. Still many attributes are to be followed with a lower deck featuring four guest cabins, and the owner suites on the main deck. Standard power is from twin Cats C32A 1440hp.The new 115 Motoryacht again designed by Evan K. Marshall will be a triple deck constructed again by Christensen to ABS MCA certification, and will provide chartering capabilities previously unavailable in yachts smaller than 130 feet. The 115 Motoryacht will feature luxury accommodations that rival larger sized Super Yachts, including a dining table that seats ten and a helm layout created exclusively for Ocean Alexander. The spacious master stateroom will be located on the main deck. Guest accommodations include two VIP cabins with in-line berths and two staterooms with twin berths convertible to queen size. The 115 offers a vast amount of storage for luggage, provisions and other service items, as well as a tender garage and crew quarters for as many as seven. Power will be from twin Cats C32 Acert 1925hp which will top speeds of around 22 knots and an all time cruise if 18.
