Improve-it = Nord West 370 Flybridge

In the beginning of Summer Nord West launched a first boat the 370 SportsTop with a new system called Stern drive Joystick. Similar to the IPS this new drive system has electrical steering, and manoeuvring in harbours can be done very easily thanks to easy to use joystick control. Nord West was among the first users of Volvo IPS system as well as being among the first to make a special designed hull for the propulsion. Every boat can be installed with a maximum of 4 joystick controls. With the new system stern drive with joystick Nord West adds as promised an other fourth model with this easy to use option, the 370 Flybridge following the 370 SportsTop, 370 Coupe and 420 Flybridge, The 370 Flybridge now offers easy to use joystick control added with the efficiency stern drives offer. This option actually makes sense in the 370 Flybridge as much as it does on the bigger 420 Flybridge due to the difficulty stern drives usually offer in marina manoeuvring.

Improve-it = Nord West 420 Flybridge

In the beginning of Summer Nord West launched a first boat the 370 SportsTop with a new system called Stern drive Joystick. Similar to the IPS this new drive system has electrical steering, and manoeuvring in harbours can be done very easily thanks to easy to use joystick control. Nord West was among the first users of Volvo IPS system as well as being among the first to make a special designed hull for the propulsion. Every boat can be installed with a maximum of 4 joystick controls. With the new system stern drive with joystick Nord West adds as promised an other third model with this easy to use option, the 420 Flybridge following the 370 SportsTop and 370 Coupe. The 420 Flybridge is also a bit unique for being among the larger sized stern drive available flybridge motor cruiser. Surely with the easy to use joystick control added with the efficiency stern drives offer, this option will start to make more sense in the 420 Flybridge much more than any other model.

New Model: Nord West 370 SportsTop

To give owners a longer cruising season, Swedish boat builder Nord West presents the 370 SportsTop, hard top version of the fall 2008 launched 370 Sports. This SportsTop version adds more protection to the cockpit, albeit with a large opening sun roof section to enjoy the sunny moments or a nice star viewing night sky. Otherwise she is all-identical to the 370 Sport, with the same exceptional performance and the option choice of joystick Volvo IPS propulsion or a more performing stern drive. Accommodation onboard is a full sized owner’s cabin with a large double island berth, mid-ships is a spacious guest cabin with twin child berths or a large double, and a very comfortable sofa in the saloon converts to an additional double berth. The cockpit also follows the good layout of the Sport version with the c-shaped settee and spacious wetbar opposite astern, although this could have been improved to suit the hardtop needs better. Seems this a fault in many sub 40 feet hard tops, especially those originating from an open sport cruiser design, but for the rest this is a great boat and deserves the top attention if looking for an 11 metre with more weather protection boat.

Project: Nord West 370 SportsTop

Nord West presents the project of the 370 SportsTop, a hard top version for the newly launched medium sized 11 metre 370 Sport, presented during the Scandinavia show. The main difference between the two models, is the adding of an all weather hard top for this soon to be launched new version of the 370, adding a real complete package to the already superlative features which already makes this a bit of a special model in its size. None the less this new 370 SportsTop keeps the features of the Sport version, like the rare to find IPS or stern drive option, a welcoming luxurious 2 cabin 4 berth interior with an additional extra 2 berths in the convertible saloon, and the cockpit which is practical for the thinking to enjoy this area when it is the warm climate, but with the good looking hard top becomes usable in all weather being it sun or rain.

New Model: Nord West 370 Sport

Swedish builder Nord West, presented its new 370 Sport model in the recent Scandinavia Boat Show held in Stockholm. The new 370 Sport denotes a new design of form and function for Nord West, being it an open modern sport cruiser of Mediterranean design, something unusual to what the Swedish builder has so far offered since its founding in 1985. The interior layout of the 370 Sport is a traditional sport cruiser layout, offering an owners cabin forward with island berth, a double guest cabin mid ship, a c-shaped saloon which transforms to an additional double berth and a well sized l-shaped galley. Outside we also have a conventional layout for a sports cruiser with a c-shaped settee aft, a relaxing chair to port, the helm station to starboard and a fully fitted wet bar behind the helm. Nord West 370 is available with three twin engine options all by Swedish company Volvo Penta, starting from the smaller D4 260hp up to D6 370hp. The 370 is also offered with a twin propulsion choice of stern drive for better performance and pod drive IPS 400 at 300hp, this later choice giving easier slow speed manoeuvring, better sea handling and lower planning speeds to the stern drive option.
