Project: Jeanneau NC 14

There is no two without a three or so says an Italian proverb, which Jeanneau follow to the letter with this new NC 14 project.  Following by two years and a half the launch of the NC 11 the first of the range, which was followed by the smaller 9 model, this new Jeanneau will be the largest of this line designed by Garroni for all year round boating.   Jeanneau has so far not passed much details, apart from the fact that we already know, that practical transforming features will be found even more in this new flagship model of the NC range.  Power for the NC 14 which is something we know will come from twin Volvo 300hp diesel engines, with IPS400 pod drives.

Project: Jeanneau 42 Voyage

Jeanneau presents the Tony Castro designed project for the new 42 Voyage, set to be unveiled at the end of 2012 at the Paris boat show.  This Jeanneau 42 Voyage project takes the French company to a new direction offering looks reminiscent of a trawler.  Lets say the new Voyage will be the first challenge at least in the looks department to a known Italian firm as the hull and engines power seems more that of a planning boat.  Not much details are given for interior space and layout but we do know that the 42 Voyage will offer two separate cabins.  Power will be twin 380hp Cummins with line shafts which give speeds up to 28 knots.  The 42 Voyage will also have a wide range of cruise speeds available upwards from 15 knots.

New Model: Jeanneau NC9

One has to admire Jeanneau and the Beneteau Group, who since starting to put more effort in the powerboat sector in 2000, and a success sparkle which came from the 34 Prestige S the French boat building giant has not only increased its offer in the category but also enhanced it in all its global form.  This can be seen in the sport fishing center console line up, more luxury attitude, and lastly in the more Northern cold climate all year usage coming from the NC11 presented more then a year ago.  The NC9 is a follow up to this first model which copies the intelligent function as offered by the bigger 11 in a smaller more affordable package.  What is sure is although it measures over one meter less the NC9 does not offer much less in terms of comfort, having the same clever albeit a bit smaller two cabin design.  The NC9 which is again a design of Italy Garroni responsible not only for the NC, but also for the Jeanneau Leader line, and Prestige models also features intelligent solution to improve space in a dedicated area like the sliding aft sliding settee in the cockpit, fully opening patio door, side helm door, and moving saloon.  Power and here is again my sad note for the NC9 is from a single Volvo 260hp.  Twin power would surely have made the NC9 itching to a wider cruising boat audience, but may be this would have also affected sales to the NC11.

Project: Jeanneau NC9

Jeanneau presents the project for the NC9, second project in this new line which was launched in 2010 with NC11.  The NC9 is again a job of designers Garroni, and Jeanneau architects.  The NC9 is set to launch on the fall of this year shows, so expect to see her make its debut in Cannes, or by the latest in Genoa.  The interior is really a similar boat to what the NC11 offers with everything being that little bit smaller.  We have the same layout of living main deck, with galley located opposite of the C-shaped dinette.  The patio door also opens to make this area join with the cockpit.  The sunroof also has a choice from a standard size opening about 25% of the roof, to a larger double the size glassed version. Down below is space for two separate double cabins, and a shower head room.  The owners room as is expected in a boat this size is located to fore.  Power is to be from a single diesel stern drive engine from Volvo from 260 to 300hp.

New Model: Jeanneau NC11

A bit late in presenting this but after announcing project details in January pictures for the NC11 from Jeanneau where hard to come by. Launched by surprise in Dusseldorf the NC11 is a very inspirational model from Jeanneau aimed in a very competitive size challenging Scandinavian and Northern Europe builders, but due to its sport looks should also get attention down South in the Mediterranean waters. Designed by the usual Garroni who now takes care for nearly all Jeanneau power line, with concept by Premorel the NC11 is an enclosed sport cruiser but can transform and become very open thanks to the sunroof, side doors and fully opening four part patio door aft. Intelligent or shall we call them simple swiveling seats on the main deck also make the NC11 change its areas from dining to chilling in seconds, bring the inside to join with the aft deck. The NC11 also surprises for having big boat comforts built in like the glassed door by the helm station which leads to the side deck. Down below is a two cabin plan with owners double berth to fore, and a twin cabin for guest to starboard. It also has a very large head with separate shower. Power is from what I think are small twin 200hp Volvo, and so far after nine months from the release no bigger engine options seemed to be mentioned.

Project: Jeaneau NC11

Through bold innovation in design, Jeanneau is now able to offer an all new, contemporary design concept, featuring panoramic views, and integration of living spaces. Each style element contribute to overall comfort onboard and seaworthy qualities. The designers of this new eleven metre Sport Cruiser concept have tapped into Jeanneau’s wealth of experience designing boats to create a new way to enjoy the sun and sea. The overall design signals a renewal in the Jeanneau product range. The clever NC 11 concept is product of the Garroni design cabinet, long time collaborator of the French builder in it's Prestige and Leader range. Like an apartment with a view of the sea, this NC 11 concept for liveable boating affords incredible comfort especially in the saloon with it's lateral galley that merges into the spacious cockpit, all featuring an uninterrupted view of the horizon. Brighter, greater visibility, the NC 11 also boasts panoramic views through an opening glass roof, a wide sliding glass door in four independent panels, and a sliding side door. Fine quality furnishings frame the panoramic views and enhance the overall effect, redefining one’s perspective of life on the water. The key is to benefit fully from the sun and sea, at any hour of the day. The NC 11 also features unbelievable space, with sleeping accommodation for four below, and two in the convertible C-shaped saloon. Numerous well placed storage lockers correspond to precise uses onboard, and are located aft beneath the modular bench seating, in the large cockpit, under the floor, and to the sides. The Jeanneau NC11 will have standard power from twin D3 200hp Volvo engines, which look small to power an over ten metre, and five ton plus Sport Cruiser to the estimated 30 knots plus speeds.

New Model: Jeanneau 38 Prestige S

The Jeanneau 38 Prestige S launched during the 2008 London boat show has been among the most expected new boats in this size offer. Italian designers Garroni present a real class leader in this size with innovative hardtop outside lines, big mid cabin window and a very versatile modular cockpit area. The main deck outside cockpit area is really the heart of any sports cruiser especially in the 11 meter size. Jeanneau really had a global thinking offering a versatile transformable outside with 2 different options as the circumstances may require. if you use your boat in the North colder climates a 2 shaped settee is the one for you, but when the sun gets going the aft part can easily transform in a spacious sun deck for the aft area. The French builder has also found the space to include a tender garage under the sundeck or settee as it is at the moment. The inside of the Jeanneau continues to surprise as it is a spacious versatile 2 cabin layout with a huge wardrobe for the forward located owner cabin and a transformable 2 singles or double guest cabin mid ship. Hull design for the 38 Prestige S is by offshore winning designer Michael Peters and propulsion is a pair of latest Cummins QSD 4.2 at 320hp each.

Project: Jeanneau 38 Prestige S

Whilst it will only be launched officially at the beginning of 2008, Jeanneau have unveiled the unpublished designs for the new Prestige 38 S. Although announced as far back as September 2007, no information had been made available about the new Prestige, which slots in between the Prestige 34 S and the completely new Prestige 42 S. The real novelty comes from the dual cockpit on board, a feature up until now reserved for open models over 40 feet long. The first cockpit, structured around a table, is traditionally located forward beneath the sport top, while the second, the real innovation on this boat, is located on the after deck, and can be converted to a sun pad or a comfortable settee around a second table. Another decided advantage for an open of under 40 feet is the tender garage, hidden beneath the cockpit. Fitted with a galley and extended by a huge bathing platform, the Sport Top with it's electric roof dully open becomes a particular outside/inside space. In particular, information on the interior layout reveals 2 cabins, a very large saloon and a spacious dressing room. Designed by the Italian office of Garroni Designers, the Prestige 38 S benefits from a hull developed by the well-known American designer, Michael Peters, who has already designed the hulls of the Prestige 42 and the recent Prestige 42 S for Jeanneau. The twin engines are the new Cummins QSD 4.2-320HP with stern-drive transmission. The yard is actively working on the launch of this Prestige 38 S, for which the stakes are high, since of course its arrival completes a 30 to 50 feet range of new Prestige Fly and Open power boats.
