New Model: Cruisers 41 Cantius

After launching the anticipated 48 Cantius at the end of 2010, US builder Cruisers a year later presents its  talked about but never shown smaller 41 Cantius.  If this is anything to show, I think we will soon be seeing a family of Cantius enclosed hard top sport cruisers and yachts from the US builder.  The 41 Cantius is well laid out sport cruiser with good looking lines, which can be used all year round thanks to a fully enclosed main deck living area, with hard top, and aft patio door.  Interesting characteristics are the settee in the aft deck, and the stools which can be positioned on the aft bathing platform which thanks to the design of the stern becomes a relaxing bar area.  Inside on the main deck is space for a saloon with C-shaped settee, a wet bar with entertainment cabinets opposite, and helm station.  Below are two cabins with an owners room to fore, aft cabin with two single beds and en-suite shower head, very large bathroom to port side, and a galley.  Power is from 330 up to 370hp in diesel format, which should give top speeds of about 32 knots.

New Model: Cruisers 480 Cantius

First announced in the fall of 2008 as the Cruisers 460 Sports Coupe project, the Oconto Wisconsin USA boat builder finally presents this model now 480 Cantius. For those asking about the name to this 48 feet sport cruiser, it is dedicated to Cruisers parent company KCS International Inc founder Cantius Stock. A total new model based on the Volvo IPS pods propulsion, the 480 Cantius has been two years plus in the making, and its hard top design has also been a choice given to Cruisers owners, customers, and friends. This boat stands out for its versatility as an all year round cruiser and being able to close down and become a cozy affair in seconds. This thanks to sliding patio doors, and the electric sunroof. Stand out features are two galleys, very interesting the one on the main deck being astern, three total saloons including the one on the aft deck, full beam mid ship owners suite, and a third shower head. This last a unique feature for a Sport Cruiser of this size. A VIP suite room to fore completes the accommodation layout below decks. Tender stowage is onto a hydraulic up and down moving bathing platform aft. Power is from standard Volvo 375hp or optional 435hp both with IPS pod propulsion, which makes docking a breeze.

Project: Cruisers 460 Sports Coupe

Set for its debut in 2009, is the project for the new upcoming Cruisers, the 460 Sports Coupe. As the title suggest this will be a hard top sports cruiser, offering full weather protection being it sun, wind or rain in the two thirds of the aft entertainment cockpit deck. 460 Sports Coupe will be an only Volvo IPS boat, and will have an exterior design profile taking a lot from the latest 520 and 420 Sports Coupe Models. Interior will be a 2 stateroom plan, with a full beam owners cabin to mid ship and a VIP cabin to fore. The entertainment deck will have a c-shaped settee aft, an l-shaped settee to port of the helm station and an outside galley area to starboard aft, which offers a convenient Al-fresco galley. 460 Sports Coupe follows the latest Cruiser design and as its bigger sister ship offers the trademark walk through windshield, something you will find only on a Cruisers hard top. Power for the new 460 is by twin Volvo's IPS500, IPS600 or the new IPS550 petrol engine. Worth to note is also the standard options list, which is among the most extensive in its size range.
