Project: Fairline 33 F-Line

Fairline announces plans for a brand new ten meter express cruiser. This new model will be the first from Fairlines new F-Line series and will launch in early 2019, and reminds me of the Esprit project presented in 2014, which never made beyond project rendering stages. This is the fourth Fairline featuring the full Alberto Mancini treatment who was recently crowned Yacht Designer of the Year at the highly prestigious World Yacht Trophies held during the Cannes boat show with the 64 Targa GTO. The successful partnership between the Italian designer and British boatyard has created a very stylish take on what a comfortable day boat should look like, enters the Fairline 33 F-Line, which has already received over a dozen orders from the builders global dealer network, and has drawn on the strong heritage of producing fun and exciting day boats, but features luxurious styling cues synonymous with the Italian designer. The 33 F-Line will feature a single stern drive engine from Volvo with the option to upgrade to twin diesels.  Twin petrol’s will be available for those that seek high performance from their boating.  The Fairline 33 F-Line is to be a stylish day boat embracing outdoor living and will feature an expansive fore-deck sunbathing area, open plan forward cabin and innovative fold down transom. The wrap around windows offer a light and airy feel and hand-crafted details add luxury.

Project: Terranova T92

During the Cannes 2017 boat show Italian Terranova showcased two new projects set to expand the line of the explorer trawler boats of the builder.  After presenting the smaller leaner T74 here, now its time to  showcase the project for the T92.  The T92 will be the third super yacht for Terranova to go above the important over eighty feet size, and just as the bigger T115 and smaller T85 will feature a triple deck layout.  Terranova has not given much public information about the T92 but expect a similar layout to the T85 with more spaces.  As to speed for T92, the Terranova yachts feature semi displacement hulls, so we would imagine a 15 knots max, and cruise from 12 to 8 knots.

New Model: Van Den Hoven 1850 Executive

Dutch Van den Hoven present the new Executive 1850, an extension of its 1700 series. Both the exterior and interior have been designed by John van Leeuwen in cooperation with yacht designer Arnold de Ruyter. The curvaceous lines give the side view an even more stylish appearance. The 1850 is available both with and without a flybridge. The overall concept is carefully considered: elegant with lots of space, Van den Hoven are build of steel so that all client wishes can be realized. The Executive 1800 leverages on all the benefits and experience of its sister vessels in the Van den Hoven fleet and then goes a step further. A striking example is the capacity to close off the entire aft deck by means of a practical yet luxurious awning set-up so that it can still be used when the weather is less pleasant. The outside decks have a natural walking flow and the flybridge version adds a whole new dimension to the sailing experience. With a small outdoor kitchen, fridge, comfortable settees and an extra steering position, this area is the equivalent of a rooftop terrace. Protection from the sun can be provided by a stylish, practical bimini.  There is a great deal of space on this yacht, as is typical for Van den Hoven, with the engine compartment placed entirely aft. The Executive 1850 features three luxurious cabins, two large bathrooms with toilet and one separate day head, a large living area and a modern galley. The yacht is equipped with twin Volvo 300hp engines and stabilizers.

Project: Sunseeker 50 Predator

Sunseeker adjourns the the Predator family by an all-new 50, the new entry point for this definitive range. Setting a new benchmark for the smaller performance format, the innovative Predator 50 is remarkable in offering both open and closed capabilities.  Exemplifying the latest in Sunseeker’s cutting-edge design, every detail of the Predator 50 has been designed to perfection, but this new boat’s hidden treasure is the entertainment space that it affords. The Predator 50’s design is enhanced by the addition of a fully opening hardtop roof and a beautifully executed folding cockpit door and hinged window providing an open plan cockpit/saloon. This is complemented by forward and aft cockpit seating which can be folded down to create an enlarged sun bathing area. The spacious saloon makes an equally idyllic setting for entertaining guests in opulent luxury with panoramic views. This makes the Predator 50 a truly open or enclosed cockpit boat, unusual in this size of sports boat.  The interior is just as impressive, with a combination of fine materials and large windows ensuring the full-beam master stateroom, which comes with a generous en-suite, achieves the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The forward VIP cabin exudes a light yet luxurious feel and features a scissor berth for complete flexibility. Up to four guests can be catered for in style and comfort on the water or an additional bunk cabin can be created in lieu of the lower saloon thereby providing accommodation for six persons in three cabins.  Another key feature for this model is the ample exterior space. A stylish and highly sociable deck boasts a spacious foredeck seating and sunbathing area complete with optional retractable pram hood canopy. Moving aft, Sunseeker’s beach club concept offers an inviting space for family and friends to enjoy the optional built-in BBQ, overhead ‘rain shower’ and fold-down transom seating. Finally, but most importantly, the integral garage which is synonymous with the Predator range, can accommodate a Jet Tender over three meters with an easy launch system via the hydraulic bathing platform.  The Sunseeker Predator 50 is to be fitted with the new Volvo 600hp engines mated to shaft drives, with optional electric steering and joystick maneuverability.
