Project: Rivera 63 Enclosed Flybrige

Riviera is proud to announce the launch of its new 63 Enclosed Flybridge which is a project based on its predecessor, the 2008 Frank Mulder designed 61 recently updated to Mk.II and now developed into this upcoming model. Now  featuring more important design changes, the 63 offers a whole lot more capability, offshore and at anchor.  Riviera 63 also adds cues from the currently under construction upcoming flagship the 75.  The new 63 features a galley positioned central astern to the party, a cockpit that is an extension of the live-aboard space inside, a master stateroom that is bathed in light and fresh air, an enclosed flybridge that serves as a sky lounge and refinements to the hull that further enhance performance and sea keeping ability.  The new galley is positioned aft, adjacent to the saloon bulkhead, and separated from the large sociable cockpit space by a hinged awning window and full tinted glass door. The result is an extension of light and space from outside in, with guests easily able to converse with whoever is in the galley.  Cabin layouts are a standard of four guests room with three heads, An option three en-suite rooms, with a larger VIP layout us also offered.  The hull is a modified Vee design, with architect Alan Down tweaking some areas and reducing weight in non structural areas.  Deadrise is a medium Vee of 12.5 degrees aft, while construction is all hand laminated.

New Model: Hinckley T48 Talaria Motor Yacht

Hinckley unveiled its new T48 Talaria 48 Motor Yacht in February at the Miami show, and continues the expansion of this range joining the first family of American yachting, with roots in Maine work boats and branches as distinguished as the Bermuda 40 and the Picnic Boat.  With its state-of-the art vacuum Scrimp construction, classic styling above the waterline, and innovative design below, jet propulsion and patented JetStick control, this stunning T48 Talaria Motor Yacht yacht is already earning her place in the Hinckley family.  In preliminary sea trials, targeted boat speeds of 30 knots at cruise and 35 knots top were easily met on the motoryacht version of the boat with standard twin Cummins 715hp and jet drives. In heavy seas and breeze, the boat rode very comfortably, with T48 Talaria featuring a fuller bow with convex sections that reduce the rise and fall motion gives the boat a softer ride.  Accommodation is two cabin plans with owners room with en-suite bathroom located to fore, and a double guest cabins to starboard.  A galley is located below decks to port side, with a luxurious welcoming saloon on the main deck, behind the dual seat helm station.

New Launch: Spencer Yachts 70 Volvo hull.76

Showing the impact of custom sportfish boat builders, the Spencer 70 Volvo was actually commissioned by the Swedish engine manufacturer and its maiden name is indeed Penta.  Spencer have always been among the most innovators of the Eastern North American custom builders, looking to the future and bringing ideas especially in this new model which come more from the pleasure world of yachting.  Those big windows to midships, central wind shield view to fore, and the pods says a lot of things how Spencer can innovate into the classic lines of his Carolina sport fisherman, if a client desires so.  The Spencer 70 Volvo presents a lower deck with three double cabins, having a full beam owners stateroom to midships.  A crew cabin is located to midships behind the owners room.  The Spencer 70 Volvo is powered by triple Volvo 900hp with forward looking IPS pods which tops a 38 knots max speed.  Interesting is that with this combination the Spencer carries almost half the horse power most sportfish of this size usually have. But to be honest this performance comes also on how weight conscious the Spencer 70 Volvo has been build.

Project: Hatteras 95 Raised Pilothouse

Hatteras Yachts is proud to announce plans for a new 95 Raised Pilothouse model set to debut in 2013.  The 95 Raised Pilot House will also be Hatteras new flagship.  The new 95 Raised Pilothouse brings styling cues from her classic lineage into the 21st century, and is designed to set the standard for Hatteras next generation of motor yachts.  To say it more frankly there is a bit more Europe in this new Hatteras flagship especially in the lines of the super structure, but also the windows for lower cabin area suggest bring this design influence.  The 95 Raised Pilothouse is available in four or five guest cabins, depending if one chooses a main stateroom on the main deck or as standard below to midships.  Crew accommodation is located aft, with two cabins sleeping four.  Factory layout alternatives are available for the main deck, and the flybridge.  Power for the 95 Raised Pilothouse will be twin Cats 1900hp as standard which will give a max speed of 25 knots, or optional MTU 2600hp which increase wide open throttle by 4 knots.

INBUILD ~ Galeon 430 HTC Part 2 of 5

We continue the journey into the construction phase of the Galeon 420 HTC.  Again this construction showcase of hull one of the Tony Castro designed 420 HTC shows the upper structure which will be the major difference along with the aft deck of this model to the 420 Fly. While last time we showed the preparation of the tooling, today we present the release and the finalization of the first mold.  The 420 HTC will be a fully enclosed sport  cruiser or as the initials say a hard top coupe.  At aft it will have a patio door which opens or closes all as the weather permits, or the owner desires.  At top it will have an opening electric sunroof.  Its main living area will be on the main deck, with all sleeping accommodation located below. Tony Castro and the Galeon team made the 420 HTC to share look and have a quality feel as a  baby version of the much acclaimed 700 Raptor model, the ex Polish builder flagship from a couple of years ago.

New Model: Prestige 550 Flybridge

Following on the very nice looks of the 500 series models, Prestige 550 Flybridge is similar in many respects to its smaller 500 sister, from the looks to the layout.  Basicaly on the 550 everything is just bigger.  Designed again by Prestige trio of designer companies; Garroni, J and J, and  JP the 550 presents itself as a practical good looking flybridge motor yacht with its wrap around all view windshield playing again a distinctive characteristic.  Prestige did also to stick on the layout of the 500 on the 550 offering some exquisite details which are quite hard to find at this size; like the separate entrance to the owners midships full beam stateroom, and the much appreciated very socializing astern galley on the main deck saloon.   Power and more so propulsion makes the difference in the 550 Flybridge, with twin Cummins 600hp and ZF Pods against the Volvo units of the 500.

Project: F&S 50 Hull 19

In recent years FandS from Denver has been one of the most busy custom Sportfisherman builders.  The reasons of this are many; but the variable Vee shaped hull, fast performances, and a bit of a modern take on the Carolina hull stand out.  Hull number nineteen for FandS will be a 50 footer to be named Triple F.  This new FandS 50 first presented as a 48 plan, is designed by Matthews Yacht Design who presented a three double cabins lower deck plan with owners room to fore, a single shower head, and the third cabin being a bunk double to port side. The engines although Volvo pods will still be positioned to midships.  FandS has still not given any numbers but most of its models have always been in the forty knots max speed range.  Can we imagine the same here?
