A 25 meter Azimut super yacht collided into a semi-submersed object in the Balearic sea, Spain on the evening of Saturday ninth August. Salvamento Maritimo assisted the super yacht first by towing it, and then by removing the semi-submersed object, which was discovered to be a wooden cable box which stuck to the fin stabilizers located at midships of the hull bottom of the yacht. After removing the object Salvamento Maritimo towed the yacht to a nearby marina for damage inspection. The damage from the collision was not reported on the Salvamento Maritimo Facebook page which reported the incident.
The yacht in this accident is an Azimut Magellano 25 Metri as designed by Ken Freivokh and produced since 2020 so far in 26 units. The Magellano 25 Metri was a replacement to the Azimut Magellano 76.
