A seventeen meter Princess flybridge yacht was wrecked by fire as it was moored in Stormstrad, Sweden at 09:12 morning time of Friday eleven April. Sjoraddnings Sallskapet assisted the burning yacht with the Rescue Länsförsäkringar Gothenburg and Bohuslän boat, saving the boaters first and then fighting the fire. The accident was described lucky as a bit of time before the fire, the yacht was reported to have three other boats moored next to it. No one was injured in the fire, with this reported but not confirmed to have ignited by a short circuit from a refrigerator onboard the yacht.
The Princess in this fire is a 56 Mk.II as designed by Bernard Olesinski and produced from 2012 up to 2017. The 56 Mk.II was a replacement to the Princess 54, and was replaced by the F55.
