Boat Gets Wrecked from Fire in Dampier, Australia

A twelve meter flybridge cruiser went ablaze as it was anchored off Tidepole Island, near the Port of Dampier, North West Australia, at 12:00 of Tuesday 22 April. Pilbara Ports and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were notified of the blaze with Dampier Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service responding to the blaze.  The fire was reported under control at 13:15 but ultimately the vessel sank from the damage of the blaze.  No injuries are reported as the flybridge cruiser had no one onboard as it went ablaze.
