Two men were injured as a seven meter Chris Craft boat exploded first and then went ablaze in Bourne End Marina, on the Thames River in Buckinghamshire, after 11:00 morning time of Tuesday eighteen June 2024. The man were assisted by a sixteen year old marina girl first, who rescued one of the man who was thrown backwards by the explosion. The fire was later intervened by ten fire fighters from the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the blaze, with the two man treated by the South Central Ambulance Service. The boat fire started with an explosion on ignition after being refuelled with the plan of the two men to cruise up to Marlow cancelled. The boat ended wrecked with a nearby boat located to it's starboard also suffering fire damage.
The boat in this fire is Chris Craft 25 Corsair as produced from 2003 to 2017. The 25 Corsair was a replacement to the 240 Cuddy, with the model replaced by the Chris Craft 25 Launch GT.
