Honolulu Ocean Safety lifeguards responded first with their jet-ski assisting the distressed boaters, and taking them to shore. No one was injured in the grounding with the US Coast Guard monitoring the sport cruiser for any fuel leaks. In the meantime the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation is currently working with the ownership to remove the Sea Ray cruiser from the reef it is grounded on.

The Sea Ray 40 Sundancer was born as the 390 Sundancer, with the name change introducing new hull windows serving the saloon living area and larger t-top radar arch. The 40 Sundancer was replaced by the full three part hard-top Sea Ray 410 Sundancer.
