Flybridge Cruiser Ends on Rocks in Lampedusa Island

A flybridge cruiser of ten meters in length with French flag and three persons onboard ended on the rocks in Cala Spugne near Lampedusa, on the morning of Sunday ninth April 2023.   The flybridge cruiser was assisted by the local fisherman and Vigili dell Fuoco, who after saving the boaters, towed the boat away from the reef and to the nearby harbour and Madonnina Jetty, were a crane was ready to lift it out of the water and secure it.  According to the Tunisian skipper and owner the boat had a sudden damage to one of the motors and ended going into the reef.  The boat was arriving from Tunisia and after reported refuelling in Lampedusa was on its way to Malta.
The boat in this reef collision is a Starfisher ST34 as produced since 2005. The ST34 came out as a replacement to the Starfisher ST32 of which she was an evolution.
