A 26 meter Ferretti super yacht titled Gemini collided into the Eceabat Marina breakwater in Canakkale, near the Dardanelles straits in Turkey on the morning of Thursday March 30. The captain reported the accident to the Canakkale Straight Ship Services Directorate, with the yacht reportedly traveling from Greece to Turkey at the time of the accident. According to the photos circulating online the Ferretti yacht reported cosmetic damage to its bow starboard side, with some hull damage below waterline. Causes of the accident are not reported.
The yacht in this accident is a 2014 Ferretti 870 as designed by Zuccon and produced from 2012 to 2016 in eleven units. The 870 was a replacement to the 880, and was replaced by the Ferretti 850.
