Sport Cruiser Wrecked by Fire at Chickamauga Lock, Tennessee

Two people were saved as a sport cruiser of nine meters in length went ablaze near Chickamauga Lock, Tennessee at 08:18 morning time of Saturday 23 July 2022.  Chattanooga firefighters responded to the blaze with Squad 19, Fireboats 6 and 10, Tanker 22, Engine 22, and Battalion 3 Blue Shift, as the two people onboard jumped in the water.  The fire was controlled, as the boat was towed away from the lock, and then sunk.  The two people who jumped in the water were collected by a working boat in the area, and were later taken to a hospital with the extent of there injuries not being reported.  The cause of the fire is not reported.
