Riva Yacht Saved from Fire in Novigrad

A 21 meter Riva motor yacht was saved from a fire in Novigrad on the early evening of 4 July, in Novigrad Croatia.  The Riva motor yacht was berthed in its berth in Novigrad, a sea side town located on the Northern part of Croatia just a couple nautical miles away from Slovenia, when a fire broke out in the galley located on the main deck.  With the fire reported the Riva was towed immediately away from the harbor, and after the fire was controlled and turned off the yacht was berthed back in its place later on that night.  This same Riva was apparently involved in a reef accident in Cervar some two years ago, damaging its P-brackets, rudders and parts of the bottom aft hull in the process.
The Riva is this accident is a 21 Dolcevita as designed by Mauro Micheli and produced from 1997 till 2004 in 21 units.  The Rivas 21 Dolce Vita was replaced by the larger and more yacht 75 Venere.
