New Model: Cayman 75 HT

The appeal of an original creation in the strictest tradition of unmistakable Cayman style, this is the new 75 HT, flagship and biggest ever creation from the Italian builder. Designed by architect Carlo Terzi, he presents us with a fascinating Sport Yacht comfortable, but at the same time offering something new and different. A lounge area worthy of a much bigger boats, impressive “Schiffini” galley kitchen, electrically operated hydraulic sliding roof, sophisticated second bridge helm area and three separate cabins each with its own large bathroom. Finishing is also to a high standard with doors and walls panelled in solid bleached oak and edged in wengè with sought after fabrics lining the ceiling, outlined by concealed lighting that evokes a feeling of intimacy. Indoors there is a living area in the prow section, fitted with a sofa, sunbed and fold-away table, creating a versatile day area that is protected by an electrically operated hydraulic sunscreen. The large deck area is equipped with a large table, a large sofa and a number of deck chairs. From the deck area it is possible to enter the double crew cabin with private bathroom, via a watertight door. There is a staircase leading either down to the engine room, or up to the upper deck of the yacht, where a second fold away helm bridge is located. Two symmetrical staircases are located at the stern, one covering the walkway and the electrical cables for jetty connections, while the other covers a change room and shower facility and the watertight door leading to the engine room. The vessel also has a stern platform and a garage housing a 3.40m tender. Power is by twin Caterpillar of 1675HP each, which allow for a 33 knots top speed and 29 of continuous cruising. Cayman 75 HT is a true innovative sport yacht feeling much bigger then it actually is, designed to travel nautical miles in a safe reliable way, enchanted by its elegant design, luxury and comfort. Well done to Cayman for building a flagship worthy of the yards 18 years experience.

Projects: Atlantis 42 HT, Atlantis 425 SC HT

World renowned builder Atlantis updates it's 42 model, without changing much of the original shape but modifying the radar arch, now forward looking and adding a hardtop, following recent client requests and trends. As we can see in the picture the result is a great looking boat, and follows what was done on the 47 a year ago. The interior remains the same functional 2 cabins with en suite layout. Main deck cockpit up top is offered in two versions. A standard version with a c-shaped settee and a sun lounger which underneath houses a tender garage, what is a typical Mediterranean layout or else if the above is not good for you, Atlantis also offers the 42 Plus version with a different and roomier 2 c-shaped settees layout. Top seller for Atlantis brand, the 425 SC was projected by Gobbi before the company take over by the Azimut Benetti Group in 2001. As the case with the Atlantis 42 above and 47 before it, the 425 SC gets also the cosmetic add up of a hard top, aimed at continuing the 7 years of successful production this model has enjoyed. The hard top design updates the 425 SC to current market trends and follows what was done with the 47 HT introduced last year. Top selling characteristics of the 425 SC remain there, like the much admired full beam owners cabin unheard of in boats of similar size, but also the functionality of a boat which changed the way medium large sized sports cruisers look.

New Model: Riva 92 Duchessa

After the hugely successful 115 Athena, flagship of the fleet since 2005, Riva continues its adventure in the super yacht segment, with a new, refined model. Curved, racy lines harmoniously design the profile of this yacht which encloses all the elegance and inimitable Riva style, as always in a solution featuring a unique, original design. Mauro Micheli's pencil, the work of his team at Officina Italiana Design and Riva's Engineering Department have once again managed to sketch a winning yacht. The novelties are numerous, both in the exterior design and in the interior layout and fittings, that won't miss to match the requests of the most demanding owners. The chromatic balance between the shades of the black American walnut and the white varnished wood of the flooring, replaced with white stone in marble powder in the dining area makes this environment welcoming. The slightly raised pilot station features a comfortable dinette for the crew. A utility room has been created under the pilot station. The galley provides access to the three crew cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. The two twin guest cabins are set amidships whilst the VIP cabin is more advanced, also full beam. All the cabins feature en-suite bathrooms, whilst the day bathroom is on the upper floor. The cockpit features a large teak table which can seat up to eight; an elegant stairway to the right provides easy access to the flybridge. A second, smaller living-room has been created at bow, where a teak table with a six-seat sofa and the sundeck are located, the sunbed has been enlarged to accommodate up to four people and can be shaded by an awning with manual opening. The flybridge is surmounted by a fibreglass hard top providing shade from the sun’s rays sun at the pilot station and a small living-area, formed of two sofas and a teak table able to seat up to eight. A centrally-fitted Jacuzzi separates it from the sundeck. The garage is closed by a foldable door, it can house a tender or a jet-ski. When lowered, a chaise-lounge on runners can be placed inside the garage, creating an area for relaxation, suspended over the water. Projects: Estensi 500 Goldstar C, Estensi 480 Goldstar S, Estensi 460 Goldstar C, Estensi 440 Goldstar S

The 500 Goldstar C is the new addition, to the classic lobster boat line of Italian builder Estensi. New 500 model will fit in the middle end of the Goldstar range of traditional yachts and cruisers, and is complimented by a comfortable interior accommodation, among the top of the category offering a 3 cabins 2 heads layout, including a spacious en-suite owners cabin forward. The upper welcoming deck is also a surprise and unusually spacious for this sort of boat, as it is more reminiscent of a flybridge yacht from a decade ago then a lobster type boat, offering a 4 person dining area forward and a welcoming c-shaped saloon settee upon entrance. A crew cabin, with entrance from the galley is also available. Of particular note is the spacious cockpit a must for any lobster yacht, which offers abundant free spaces. Power is by twin 550 hp diesel engines, and as most of the Estensi range, the new 500 Goldstar C will be categorized with a top CE A rating. The 480 Goldstar S is a more modern sportier version for the 500 Goldstar C, offering the same identical 3 cabin interior, and the same well laid up dual saloon. Apart the exterior lines which are more modern and aggressive, the other difference is the stern, which on the 480 and as note in all S versions takes a more modern reverse integrated shape and the patio door which is of steel and glass versus the wood finish on the C line. Engines are the same as the 500 with twin 550 hp and CE rating will also be a top level A rating. The 460 Goldstar C, should join the line in 2009, but this looks another interesting offer from Estensi, complimenting the range of traditional lobster cruisers. She will boast among other things as the new bigger sisters to be launched soon, also a 3 cabin 2 head interior but in more limited spaces. Propulsion will be a shaft configuration with the modern vee drives sets up, saving space and still giving the superior sea keeping this traditional way gives. Powered will be provided by twin 450 hp Diesel engines. 440 Goldstar S, is the modern version of the 460 C based on the same hull design and lines, but with the more modern sportier reverse transom and aggressive looking superstructure. Launching is also planned for 2009. Interior is the same 3 cabin 2 head layout as the 460, and engines also follow the classic version model with twin 450 hp engines on the plan so far. Where the new 440 S will loose a bit versus the 460 C is the exterior aft deck, with the C having that extra bit of free space, in due lost by the reverse design of the transom.

New Model: Princess 50

One of the most successful models in the recent Princess flybridge line, the 50 gets updated for the third time featuring noticeable style improvements outside, and a totally different inside. This is a totally redefined motor yacht to the first version of the 50 launched in 2000! Among the main differences is the adding of the always more requested full beam owners cabin with en-suite head, of particular impressive size considering the only 50 feet length of the vessel. This is without allowing to lose space in the lower deck, as the 50 still has 2 other guest cabins, a bunked double cabin to starboard, and the VIP cabin forward. The main saloon is also a joy to be in, full of natural light during day time thanks to the big tinted windows, and the feature of a dining area forward and a socializing c-shaped settee aft. The spacious l-shaped galley is located centrally on the lower deck, in between the cabin area. Performance wise the Princess 50 speeds up to 32 knots, with twin Volvo 670 hp engines.

Project: Rio 36 Art, Rio 36 Air

Rio continues to upgrade it's Art range, presenting the project of the 36 Art, an important dimension for the Italian builder, with decades of experience in boat building. Expected to be launched during the Genova boat show, the 36 Art will replace the successful 35 Cruiser after a decade of successful production. The new 36 Art is a model projected with free and spacious spaces in mind, with an airy cockpit offering a settee with removable table, chaise lounge and a dual seated helm station. Inside is where the biggest surprise comes with a 2 cabin 2 head interior, something rare in this size if not unheard of, a c-shaped dinette settee transformable for extra 2 guest berths. The plasma TV in the saloon has also the intelligent revolving feature, as seen on the 44 Art, making it possible to view in the main cabin forward with a small movement. There is also 2 galleys on the 36 Art, one outside in the cockpit, and a second inside. New Rio 36 Art will also be offered with the latest Axius joystick helm system, which can be associated with the new Skyhuke, a single operator navigational system for boats.
The 36 Air will be the hardtop version for the 36 Art, offering all the above plus a full extended hardtop, for all weather navigational cruise, being it boiling sun or raining wet. Launching for this new Air hardtop model is for 2009, but it for sure makes a challenge in this size range.
