New Model: Fiart P54

During the Genoa boat show 2022 Fiart presented its new P54, a new second in size model following the 60 Cetera it launched in 2019.  Just as the Cetera, the Fiart P for Stefano Pastrovich 54 wants to be different to everything that the market is offering here in the sport yacht segment of sixteen meters it represents, yet at the some time competing with the latest modern looking open day sport yachts currently in the market.  For example unlike most of the competition who try to make the exterior as one big open space, the P54 offers three distinct area, a sun-chaise-lounge aft, a dinette with galley wet-bar in the middle, and a fore deck sun-pad solarium which can transform to a second forward dinette. Also unlike the latest competition the connection to the sea in the Fiart P54 comes from a transformable stern with a hydraulic opening bathing platform which shows a tender garage, and also goes up and down.  The Fiart P54 will also be versatile in the cabin layout offering the choice of two large cabins, or a three cabins version layout.  In both layouts the master stateroom remains at midships, with a third bunk cabin taking space from the forward VIP suite in the two cabin version.  The Fiart P54 also stands out in its size for offering a third day head, which can be ordered as en-suite to the third cabin in the three cabins version.  The Fiart P54 is standard powered by twin Volvo 725hp with IPS pod drives propulsion, which give a top speed up to 34 knots.  Engine choices go up to twin Volvo 900hp and IPS propulsion with the large engine giving an extra five knots of top speed.

Project: Bavaria SR33

After the SR41 and SR36, Bavaria present the project for a new SR33 the newest member to come of the SR-Line, and set to launch and be presented in early 2023 at the Dusseldorf boat show.  Designed as the other two SR by Marco Casali with hull design coming from Micad, the SR33 replaces the Bavaria S33 model.  But do not be mistaken the SR33 is totally new sport cruiser upwards from the keel, wider and also longer to the model it replaces.  One of the hallmarks of the SR33 is the cockpit deck, with the unique and favourite aft sun-pad feature, which apart extending in length converts to an aft looking dinette.  Down below the Bavaria SR33 will offer an open layout with a double berth forward, a dinette with opposite galley, and a double berth separate cabin at midship.  The Bavaria SR33 is to be powered by twin Mercruiser or Volvo engine from 500 up to 700hp with sterndrive propulsion, with a single diesel 380hp option also being available.

Sportfish Explodes After Refuelling in Bermuda

A flybridge cruiser of about nine meters in length titled m/y Woodstock with one passenger onboard, exploded and then went ablaze just after refuelling at Dowling Marina, St. Georges, Bermuda around 1330 hours of Sunday nine October.  Videos on social media show the scene of the Woodstock exploding split second just after the captain turns on the engine. With the fuel station of Dowling Marina located near The Wharf Restaurant and Bar in a packed Sunday afternoon the drama was not ended, and an evacuation of sorts could not be made, as the wind kept on pushing the on fire Woodstock to the dock.  At this stage a sportfish of eleven meters titled m/y Tenacious with two brothers onboard towed Woodstock out of the dock, to Marginal Wharf, before the flybridge cruiser burned down and eventually sank at around 1440 hours.  Ten fire fighters and officers assisted and went to extinguish Woodstock from the flames, while the lone captain owner had minor injuries to his ankle as he jumped off the boat from the flybridge.
Woodstock the sportfish cruiser in this fire is a Trojan F-32, a model the famed US builder produced from 1973 up to 1992 in 2700 units. Still popular the Trojan F-32 sleeps four in a forward double Vee-berth with a convertible saloon, and is powered by twin Chryslers 225hp or optional 260hp gas engines on shafts.
The heroic sportfish m/y Tenacious which saved further damage to happen at Dowling Marina is a Luhrs 40 Convertible, produced from 2000 up to 2003.  The Luhrs 40 Convertible is an evolution of  the 380 which was born in 1991, main recognizable difference being the side windows being more curved.  The Luhrs 40 Convertible offers an interior with two cabins sleeping four, and is powered by Cat 420hp engines.  The 40 Convertible was replaced by the Luhrs 41 Convertible in 2004.

New Model: Horizon E90

Horizon Yachts has launched and delivered the brand new E90, second in size in its successful E Series line which spans from 23 to thirty meters in size. The new E90 is an evolution of the popular E88 model which launched in 2008 and sold in fifteen units and was a further evolution of the Horizon Elegance 87. The new E90 combines a performance-oriented hull with a streamlined superstructure and new underwater shape, with increased interior volume evident from the dock, a feature made possible by the yacht’s enhanced hull design that affords a six meter plus of beam. Borrowing an extremely successful feature from the Horizon Fast Displacement FD Series, this E90 is the first E Series yacht to be designed with the proprietary High Performance Piercing Bow, a design proven to afford excellent seakeeping and stability.  Titled m/y Lazy Daze the first E90 was launched in the Skylounge version and was built on spec for the American market, with a traditional four double guests cabins layout, and an aft crew cabin which sleeps four instead of the standard three berths.  Horizon E90 hull one is finished in white ash and silver oak wood combined with Able stonework for light and airy filled interior. Horizon E90 is standard powered by twin 1600hp Cats, with hull one ordered with the upgraded twin Man 1800hp.

Sanlorenzo presents its much waited new SP110, which launched in early Summer with World wide premier at the Cannes 2022 boat show past September. A project of over five years in the making, which was presented officially in renderings for the first time in May 2022 during the Venice boat show.  For its first super sport yacht above 24 meters Sanlorenzo left nothing to chance; with design by Zuccon, technical input by Tilli Antonelli, hull engineering by jet propulsion expert Marco Arnaboldi, and interiors for hull#One by Pierluigi Lissoni.  The new Sanlorenzo SP for Smart Performance 110 wants to rewrite the sport yacht segment, with the innovative vertical loft unbounding the main and lower deck split, and merging it with the aft deck lounge and beach area.  There is something fresh and different about the Sanlorenzo SP110, looking classic yet very modern and at the same time fluid and warm.  For this and the Vertical loft the Sanlorenzo SP110 is the super sport yacht above 24 meters of the year, and probably of the past ten years or so.  Sanlorenzo SP110 super sport yacht rewritten, chapeau!
