Project: Beneteau Gran Turismo 36

Beneteau present the project for the Gran Turismo 36, one of the eagerly awaited sport cruiser models for the 2019 calendar year. The Gran Turismo 36 is American-made, and is designed to USA standards of quality and comfort, while benefiting from the design ingenuity and expertise specific to Beneteau. She is the first boat in her category to combine comfortable cruising with outstanding handling and sensations similar to those of a small outboard thanks also to the Zipwakes tabs for improved stability when turning and under way.  The Gran Turismo 36 deck plan is innovative, with specific living spaces for use throughout the day.  For example a large built-in sun mattress on the foredeck provides a safe and pleasant place to relax when the sport cruiser is underway, and protected by a bimini top, it will quickly be adopted by anyone addicted to afternoon naps.  With an aerodynamic hardtop at the stern, complete with sliding roof, the Gran Turismo 36 combine protection and the joy of the open air.  Two bench seats face the sea in the driving station, so four people can enjoy the thrills of navigation, and an electric glass sunroof fills the whole area in natural light. Behind this a spacious cockpit lounge area which has room for up to seven guests.  Cleverly interlinked, the aft bench seats fold back and serve as headrests for the extensive sunbathing area facing the sea.  A small gate between the galley and the sunbathing area opens onto the swim platform. An outdoor galley located to starboard, is protected from the sun but offers plenty of fresh air.  The forward peak has generous space for a real owner cabin with a double bed and storage. An aft guest cabin provides two extra berths that can be brought together or separated depending on the crew on board. Midships you find a cozy lounge, a galley fitted with high quality appliances and a shower space, with a cubicle and washroom separate from the head.  The Beneteau Grand Turismo 36 as the smaller 32 is powered in inboard stern-drive or outboard power.  With inboard her maximum power is twin Volvo 300hp diesel engines, while with outboard a further more 100hp in petrol gas is possible.  35 knots of top speed is estimated with the large engine option.
