New Model: Nordhavn N100

Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of its newest super yacht, a 100-foot Nordhavn. Named Serenity the new Nordhavn N100 is a luminary and representative of the new reaches of excellence PAE has achieved with its most recent launches. Based on the hull of the Nordhavn 86/96, this newest expedition yacht is a dream for her avid fisherman-owner who wanted a yacht with a proper sportfishing cockpit capable of taking him to the most productive fishing spots in the world.  The lines of the new N100 are unmistakably Nordhavn, with the same elegant look found in the classic profile of the N96. The model met the buyer’s wishes for a global cruising yacht with world class construction, performance and finish. But he wanted a proper sport fishing cockpit that wouldn’t interfere with guest lounging spaces.  PAE’s design team went to work on devising a space separate from the California deck, the designated outdoor entertaining area aft of the saloon. The addition of the fishing cockpit is courtesy of an extended transom and swim step that extended the length.  While the N86 and N96 models interior is highly custom to an owners vision, N100 differs vastly from the smaller sister-ships with a very unique layout that the owner helped design in order to achieve enough staterooms for his family and sufficient quarters for crew. The result is a five-stateroom retreat, each with en-suite head, plus accommodations for a crew of four.  Destry Darr Designs created a modern, elegant and comfortable living space that features walnut wood, stainless steel inlays, Lutron lighting and extraordinary stone work. The medium-dark colored wood sets off a neutral color scheme of grey, cream and brown and allows the vibrant artwork throughout the boat to stand out.  Her distinct hull color is a regal Stars and Stripes blue.  While the longer waterline gives Serenity a slight edge in efficiency over the N96, says Chief of Design Jeff Leishman, speed and fuel capacity won’t vary from a typical Nordhavn 96 in spite of the increased length.  Built at South Coast Yacht Marine, Nordhavn N100 is being prepared to be shipped to PAE headquarters in Dana Point, CA, for final commissioning in March.

New Model: Admiral 74m Planet Nine

The Italian Sea Group is proud to announce the launch of the Admiral 74 meter Planet Nine, the ultra innovative explorer yacht, already setting a benchmark in her category.  Titled as Project 575 in construction stages the 74 meter super yacht is currently doing her finishing touches and represents the 575th vessel since 1942 for the Group.  The peculiar external design hides a balanced combination of comfortable interior and typical practical needs of long-range cruises.  The interior design guarantees extreme comfort and wide spaces both in the suites and in the various common areas.  The interiors recall the classic taste and the elegant atmosphere typical of timeless yachts, but with a touch of sober modernity.  We wanted to reproduce the comfort and intimacy of a villa with the intention to live the spaces on board for a good portion of the year.   The style is elegant and contemporary, representing a concentration of luxury, style and power.  The main deck is entirely dedicated to the Owner with a private area of over 300 square meters divided into two distinct areas: the main cabin in the aft, the lounge area and a second cabin in the bow.  Still on the main deck, but with an exclusive access from the upper deck, we find a real theater room equipped with a 119 inch large screen.  The upper deck is dedicated to Guests with a wide panoramic observatory lounge to the bow.  On the lower deck there are the five guests cabins and 1 cabin for the owner's staff.  It also has a direct access to the wide beach club and to the spa which features a large terrace overlooking the sea.  The wheelhouse bridge houses not only the wheelhouse but a comfortable VIP cabin to the stern.  The decks are connected by two elevators, one for crew use only, connecting the under-lower deck with the upper deck where the galley is situated, and the other dedicated to Guests connecting the lower deck to the sundeck.  The yacht is equipped with two Rupert Marine 32 twin diesel tenders which are stored in the main deck aft in two dedicated tender bays.  Admiral 74m Planet Nine is also equipped with a helipad designed to accommodate an “Agusta Grande” helicopter with below deck hangar and refueling capability.  Furthermore we find a dedicated cabin and a office for the helicopter pilot, a unique feature for a yacht of such dimensions.

blogger - Dusseldorf Showdown

It was a big showdown for what is considered the largest on land and all inside boat show on the planet.  Dusseldorf always delivers but for 2018 it had an extra gear with all the main European players not only attending but coming to the show with an important display.  For nine days in the last week of January 2018 the North Central German city connected to the North Sea by the Rhine river was the super market of yachting.
There was a lot of important players who made the 2018 Dusseldorf a special one.  Azimut used the show to unveil two novelties, Ferretti Group made a big statement taking along some of its most important recent new models and presenting projects and plans for the future, and Princess who has been a big supporter of the show in recent years continued where it left.
Obviously such attention to Dusseldorf comes as proof of a healthy Yachting sector and a believe that the European and the Global economy is on the upswing.  More so it shows a believe in the German economy, which has always had an important role in the European economy.
