Project: Jarrett Bay 46 Walk-Around Express Hull #61

Jarrett Bay starts its sixty-one custom build with a 46 Walk-Around Express.  This new fully custom construction Jarrett Bay 46 Walk-Around Express will be as the title says of a walk around layout, with full deck utility and an easy passage way from stern to bow.  The exterior plan will feature a center located center console with a twin settee helmsman plus passenger, this resting to port side.  To fore of the helm station will be an L-shaped settee, and aft is the must have mezzanine.  No interior plans are shown so far. Power will be twin 1015hp Cat engines. A note shows how performance requirements have increased over time for Sportfish Cruiser and Yachts, with this new 46 having a total of 800 more horses then to a 1999 Jarrett Bay 46 Express Hull#32.

New Model: Aquador 35 Cabin

Its the largest model currently produced by Aquador and this is the finally launched 35 Cabin.  An awaited model from the Finnish, Brunswick owned company.  The Aquador 35 Cabin is a fully enclosed sport cruiser designed by Northern people for those living up top, and with an intended use all year round being it rain or sun.  Thanks to an opening helms door to starboard side, the Aquador 35 Cabin also proves easy for single handling.  As in standard Scandinavian design the starboard passageway of the 35 Cabin is also wider to that of the port side.  Below the 35 Cabin offers two double cabins, with the owners room to fore, and a double amidships.  A C-shaped dinette transforms to an extra double berth on the main deck, with opposite to this having the galley in a convivial area.

Project: Cayman 26 Ocean Vessel

An interesting project from Cayman yachts who with this new 26 Ocean Vessel enter the super yacht bracket above 24 meters.  Its a new segment for Italian builder Cayman Yachts who build a name in the last years thanks to its sports cruisers and yachts, hard-top or with flybridge, of a European design, with North American sport-fisherman subtle touches.  With this important upcoming flagship project Cayman enter also the Explorer segment.  But the 26 Ocean Vessel also signals other firsts for Cayman as it will be build of aluminium, will feature a displacement hull, and is a triple deck design.  Accommodation layout all located in the lower deck will feature four double cabins; one master stateroom, two VIP cabins, and a guest cabin.  The crew lobby features a galley plus two cabins.  Below will also be space for a small gym.  Designed by Hot Lab studio from Milan, the 26 Ocean Vessel has a tank tested hull, and a construction which is RINA certified and is to be powered by Man engines from 400hp, or optional 560 and 750hp units.

Project: Azimut Grande 95 RPH

Azimut introduces the Grande 95RPH project: a new hull, design, and innovative solutions for a pocket sized super yacht with many surprises in store. The 95RPH is part of the Grande collection, the line of which with this model spans from 95 to 120 feet luxury yachts from the World famous Italian shipyard. The first brand new Azimut Grande 95 RPH is launching in spring 2014; however, thanks to renderings, it is possible to preview some of the boatyard's interesting solutions that improve functionality without altering the style. Foremost among the new features introduced by concept and exterior designer Stefano Righini is the raised wheelhouse. The boat’s name, RPH actually stands for Raised Pilot House, giving some indication of the importance of the decision to separate the wheelhouse from the main deck. This is accomplished by creating a half deck which gives the owner and guests more space and maximizes crew privacy. The designer has also managed to integrate the raised wheelhouse with the vessel’s hallmark exterior lines, retaining that special Azimut Grande family look.  Thanks to the raised wheelhouse, the Grande 95RPH has five cabins, four guest cabins on the lower deck and an owner's stateroom on the main deck towards the bow. The exceptional view and large bathroom make the owner's room a veritable suite with an unparalleled sea view. There is also a liberating sense of space in the 95 RPH saloon; here, Righini has created a real sense of continuity between inside and outside, thanks in part to the double, floor-to-ceiling picture windows. Another Azimut Grande trump card is without doubt the exceedingly spacious flybridge with spaces of sixty squared meters, awarded Best in Class; it includes a cushy exterior dinette that seats ten, a mini bar, Jacuzzi, and comfortable sunbathing area.  The standard layout sleeps of the 95RPH sleeps ten in five cabins; owner's room and four VIP rooms, each with a private bath. The four-member crew has three cabins and two baths to the bow, with separate access to the kitchen located on the main deck. The luxurious and elegant interiors are a design by Studio Salvagni Architect's for Azimut, a proven collaboration that has led to such successful models as the 80, 84, and 88.  To the stern, there is a garage with pivoting platform for a four metre jet tender.  Power is twin MTU 2186hp motors which, when combined with the planing hull with skeg, provides for significantly improved directional stability, enabling maximum speeds up to 26 knots and cruising speeds of 20 knots. A 12,000 liter fuel tank and 2,000-litre water tank ensure great range, even for long crossings.  Despite being a super yacht with an overall length of nearly 29 metres, the Grande 95 RPH falls within the 24 meter cut-off and therefore can be registered as a pleasure craft. In many countries around the world this is a distinction which offers the owner serious advantages both in terms of crew management and administration, with significant savings in time and money. This is because pleasure crafts do not require a professional captain or engineer and have reduced crew requirements. In addition, the registration procedures are definitely simplified, with the corollary benefits for charter use: regulations are in conformance with MGN280 guidelines, MCA equivalent for under 24 meters.

Class 1 - Abu Dhabi UAE Grand Prix

RACE 1
Nadir Bin Hendi made a dream return to the Class 1 World Championship winning race 1 of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix alongside Darren Nicholson in Victory Team Australia in their first outing together.
It was an emotional moment for the four-time World Champion competing in Class 1 for the first time following a two-year ban. 
The win came at the expense of teammates and Championship leader’s Arif Al Zaffain and Mohammed Al Marri who led for eight of the ten laps when, for the second time in two races, a broken propeller robbed them of the victory and the chance to close out the title race.
Christian Zaborowski and Ugur Isik recovered from a poor start position to move up from fifth to take their fifth podium of the year, taking the chequered flag in third but were elevated to second due to the time compensation given for running the cast propellers.
Abu Dhabi’s Rashed Al Tayer and Faleh Al Mansoori rounded off a good day for the UAE ending the team’s run of bad luck to take their best result of the year finishing third to give rookie driver Al Mansoori his first podium.
Engine issues for LF10 before the start of the race ended Giovanni Carpitella and Ahmed Al Hameli’s chances of challenging for the podium falling a lap behind immediately then making up ground to eventually finish ahead of their teammates LF8 in fourth.
Victory 3 limped across the line in sixth to pick up valuable points ahead of FA.RO ACCIAI, technical problem’s ending Poliform-Polimersan’s race on lap 1.
Today’s result cuts Victory’s lead at the top of the points standings to 16, with Victory Team Australia and Zabo-Isiklar now tied in second place on 80 and with a maximum 20 points still up for grabs the Championship will be decided in the final race of the season tomorrow.
Starting from pole position Al Zafeen and Al Marri hit the front on the start leg on the outside of Lulu Island and were eight seconds clear of Victory Australia at the end of lap one, Team Abu Dhabi in third ahead of Zabo-Isiklar and Poliform-Polimersan, with title contenders LF10 down in eighth spot.
By mid-race the Champions-elect were 22 seconds clear and in cruise control and on their way to the team’s 13th World title when with just two laps remaining they suddenly slowed and were passed by Bin Hendi and Nicholson to take the win.
After gearbox problems in qualifying Zabo-Isiklar throttleman Christian Zaborowski was more than pleased with second place. 
Team Abu Dhabi was never challenged for their eventual third place and despite the recovery from a lap down to finish fourth, LF10’s title challenge is over. FA.RO ACCIAI again picked up points with Roberto Lo Piano and Luca Nicolini finishing in seventh.

RACE 2
Arif Al Zaffain and Mohammed Al Marri produced a command performance to win race 2 of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and clinch a record 13th Class 1 World Championship title for Victory Team.
The only brief challenge to their utter supremacy over the 14 laps came early on when their teammates Darren Nicholson and Nadir Bin Hendi in Victory Australia jumped them at the start on the outside leg to lead, albeit briefly.
But a mistake by Nicholson at the first turn allowed Al Zaffain and Al Marri to get ahead and once out front they simply disappeared off into the distance to win by over 40 seconds with Al Zaffain and Al Marri taking their 37th and 27th career wins. 
Nicholson and Bin Hendi gave chase in second but their title challenge ended on lap two when an engine let go and despite efforts to bring the boat home to try to pick up points they retired from the race four laps later.
Giovanni Carpitella and F1H2O star Ahmed Al Hameli moved in to second spot on lap three after Poliform-Polimersan stopped with an engine problem, but they had no answer to the pace of the leaders, running out the race to take second place. 
After a frustrating year Team Abu Dhabi’s Rashed Al Tayer and Faleh Al Mansoori rounded off their season with a second podium in as many days moving up from sixth place at the end of lap one to finish in third. 
LF8’s Alfredo Amato and Miles Jennings benefitted from the retirees list and despite starting from eighth ended the day in fourth place ahead of Roberto Lo Piano and Luca Nicolini in FA.RO ACCIAI.
Chirstian Zaborowski and Ugur Isik were on the back foot from the start after failing to post a time in qualifying when a torque sensor broke, but despite starting from seventh they hauled Zabo-Isiklar up through the pack and were into third spot by lap 3 and chasing down LF10 when they too had engine problems, compounded by steering issues, slowing to a crawl on lap seven.
Zaborowski and Isik nursed their stricken boat around the 5.05Nm circuit for the next three laps and literally floated across the finish line to complete 10 laps to secure the vital points needed to secure the runners-up slot in the overall World Championship standings, finishing ahead of LF10 by one point.

New Model: Delta 26 m Yacht

Swedish motorboat brand Delta Powerboats puts into the water its most ambitious build to date, a 26 meter carbon fiber super yacht.  Interestingly it took the Swedish company Delta Powerboats just ten years to grow from a 25 footer to the new 26 meter flagship.  Delta has been working two years in producing from design to reality its 26 m Yacht flagship, which increases its size by about thirty feet from its previous largest model the 54 IPS.  Designer Lars Modin worked high on his creative side, and just as the exterior the Delta 26 m Yacht features an interesting and innovative internal layout.  Guest accommodation accounts to four large double cabins, with a very spacious full beam owners stateroom featuring a small dinette, walk-in wardrobe, and private en-suite head. The crew cabin located to midships sleeps two and also features a small dinette and galley.  Main tender stowage is in a garage to aft which is located on top of the engine room, but a space for two more small private water crafts also exists on the bathing platform and the flybridge. Delta advised that during the first sea trial from Estonia to Stockholm, Sweden the 26 m Yacht reached top speeds at 37 knots.  The Swedish company also says that the fuel consumption was around 40% less than to that of most competitor boats in this size.  An interesting argument which with the elements we have; less weight which compares to that of yachts about ten feet smaller, and a less engine power needed to reach such speeds sounds good.

Project: Camper & Nicholsons 60 Shamrock

Sometimes one can say a lot from what a boat model wants to represent by a builder from its name.  With the 60 Shamrock, Camper and Nicholsons Italian build line of traditional lobster cruisers and yachts is surely looking to customers with an admiration to the past.  For those who do not know Shamrock was Sir Thomas Lipton Americas cup challenge for a few decades 1899 till 1930, with five different Shamrock's being build and competing in the Worlds oldest sports challenge.  The Camper and Nicholsons 60 Shamrock presents itself as a three cabin traditional yacht with sport lines but yet still classic.  The main deck is a split level area and features a galley and two dinettes.  The aft deck features two L-shaped settee's looking to aft. Standard power is twin 1000hp Cat engines with estimated top speeds of 33 knots.

New Model: Mares 45 Catamaran Flybridge

Mares International is pleased to announce the all new 45 Catamaran.  Mares is now working with a new factory and re-tooled their line with newly styled pleasure cats ranging from 38 to 100 Feet aimed at the world market, the 45 first of the new Yacht line is the first in such models.  Building power catamarans since 1985: Mares has incorporated the latest technology to their patented asymmetrical hull design including: Pod Drives and foil assist in the tunnel. The Mares hull forces air into the tunnel giving lift and ride on top of the waves instead of trying to push through them, which basically translates to the boat going faster and burning less fuel. The 45 Catamaran Flybridge features a European looking inspired super structure a stylish yacht that really does offer a fuel efficient alternative to the average craft. The core concept of the design is stability and fuel efficiency with everything you will find in a mono hull yet it offers all the advantages of a cat.  The 45 has a layout with two large staterooms, each equipped with a spacious head and shower. The master is appointed with a tremendous amount of room. The salon has a spacious design with full visibility, which includes an inside helm station, galley and comfortable seating with a high low table for dining.  You can choose the 45 with a fly-bridge as hull one or as express style design.

Project: Monte Carlo MC5S

After a well received introduction to the first Monte Carlo 5 the past Dusseldorf boat show, the Beneteau Group was fast to capitalize on this success by extending the MC range with three further upcoming projects, one of which the entry level 4 model presented in Cannes.  The Monte Carlo MC5S, builds on an identical platform of the standard 5 model with it being a glazed sunroof opening hard top sport yacht, that means no flybridge up top and second helm. But the designers at Beneteau also felt the need to add something on top of the extended fiberglass part of the hard top and the MC5S features a C-shaped dinette up top which converts to a two person private sun-pad. Inside the the MC5S features the very well laid layout with its prime features being the astern galley, three double cabins, full beam amidships owners suite, and a crew cabin to aft.  Power is twin Volvo 435hp engines with IPS pod drives.

New Model: Carver C40

After the good receiving of the C34, Carver engages the market fast with a similar looking six feet larger sister.  As the smaller C34 the new C40 follows the very good looks of its sibling, with a high free-board making the flybridge looking very low profile.  The new Carver C series looks seem to be an optimal mix of European and classic US style elements.  Distinct looking features of both the C models is the sweeping sheer-line and the very full near to vertical bow.  The C40 will feature an accommodation with four berths in two cabins, with an owners room to fore and two shower heads.  An extra double berth is to be available in the saloon from the convertible dinette.  The galley is located on the main deck to port side. As is standard for American builders an option will exist for the main deck to feature an optional lower helm. When this is chosen a little of space will be taken from the C-shaped settee. Standard power is twin Cummins 305hp or optional 380hp units, with traditional line shaft propulsion.
