Improve-it = Pardo 50

Pardo Yachts presents a 50 model entirely customized with Missoni fabrics, a project resulting from the collaboration of two pioneering brands of the Made in Italy: the historic Milanese maison founded by Ottavio Missoni in 1953 and Cantiere del Pardo, shipyard with artisanal and industrial roots dating back to 1973. Despite coming from very different industries, the two Brands share common values such as attention and commitment to luxury, aesthetics and unique creative design marked by a distinct overseas entrepreneurial spirit. The result? The elegant, clean lines of Pardo are broken by the movement of the iconic, colourful Missoni pattern creating a perfectly balanced combination. Two Italian synonyms of excellence with different styles but perfectly compatible and synergistic.  For the remaining the Pardo 50 is the same with four berths in two cabins below deck, with an option of a crew cabin, and is powered by twin Volvo 480hp as standard with options going up to 600hp with IPS forward looking pod drives propulsion.

Project: Rizzardi InSeven Plus

Rizzardi present the project for the InSeven Plus, an upcoming 24 meter flagship for the central-South Italian yacht builder.  Rizzardi has seen a lot of success with the In-line, which took over from the Incredible series in 2019 debuting with the InSix model, and has so far today delivered over 25 yachts.  This is the second time a new flagship is announced when in 2021 Rizzardi presented the InEight saying that it has finalized the project stages of the model.  The new InSeven Plus is a blend of sportiness, elegance and technology, with the usual Rizzardi aggressive design and sleek lines, but is also a concentrate of comfort and functionality.  At 24 meters long  this new project follows in the footsteps of the large sporty open hard-tops InFive and InSix. The access into the cabin area with come through a large patio door, highlights a large contiguous area between the external and internal environment. The spaces are surprisingly spacious for a sport yacht, and the interiors will be customized according to the owner's requests, as per usual Rizzardi tradition. From a technical point of view, like all the In models the propulsion of the InSeven Plus is again trusted to surface drives, which supported by the "Auto-Trim" system, guarantee not only excellent performance levels but also planning at low speed. On the bridge, the maneuverability will be entrusted to the electronically controlled joystick for the automatic control of the surface propellers, thus simplifying the yacht's movements during mooring, with the InSeven Plus also offered with the digital anchoring function, what is a first for surface drive propulsion.  Rizzardi InSeven Plus can be powered by twin Man 1800 or 2000hp which with the surface drives will give top speeds of 43 and or 45 knots respectively.  The first unit of the Rizzardi InSeven Plus is reported in initial construction phase with a launching date not yet announced.

New Model: Wally Power50

At the appointment of the 2024 Dusseldorf boat show in January, Wally came full guns blazing by presenting its new Power50 model. Spanning the arc between the Wallytender range and the Wally Power58, the new Wally Power50 is so flexible and adaptable that it can serve as anything from chase-boat to tender to day-cruiser to luxury weekender to high-octane thrill-ride, proof indeed that whatever life you want to lead, the Power50 is the bridge that can take you there. The Wallypower50 combines the more open design of the Wallytenders with the more spacious areas of the Wallypower58, with an extensive options list that means you can define a Wallypower50 to meet your operational wishes. Love the vertical stem and inimitably striking lines of the Wallypowers? The new Wallypower50 carries that design DNA in her profile and her hull, matching flair with finesse. But if you want an element of Wallytender practicality, no problem as you can spec a wraparound fender like those found on the Wallytenders to give you more rugged workhorse capability. Central to the onboard experience is the beautifully drawn balance between rugged practicality and sublime functionality, and it is here that the shared genes between the Wallytenders and the Wallypowers is truly evident. The wallypower50 boasts all the open space of her smaller cousins, which lends herself perfectly to working tender operational parameters, but adds touches that speak to her standalone capabilities too. There are two sunbeds aft instead of one, with a generous walkway between them offering easy boarding and disembarkation; moreover, drop-down aft bulwarks extend the aft deck space by six square meters, creating a luxurious area for enjoying the sea or enjoying a sundowner or two with family and friends. Forward of the sunbeds, nestling under the protection of the angular cockpit structure yet still delivering an alfresco feel, is the cockpit saloon. A dining table with banquettes and further bench seating comfortably accommodates eight guests, with space for more on forward-facing bench seats plus the helm chairs. Of course, there is also a foredeck sunpad with adjustable headrests, ideal for soaking up some rays at anchor or away from prying eyes when moored stern-to; there is also easy access to the hidden anchoring system, which itself is not only a neat design trick but also means even the foredeck is clutter free. The helm itself is elegant and modern, offering all controls to hand and with two large MFDs providing access to all operating and systems data as well as a comprehensive navcomms suite. The helm is ideally located for all-round visibility – particularly pertinent when riding the wallypower50 to her higher performance limits. Below, the wallypower50 reveals her power roots, with not only a full head and shower but a welcoming space that can offer everything you need for weekending, or even longer cruising. A large forward double berth, cosy saloon area and kitchenette galley, all finished to the highest standards, mean the wallypower50 can just as easily be your pied-a-terre wherever you wish to go – a luxurious and inviting studio apartment that’s perfect for couples. The wallypower50 doesn’t just encompass flexibility, she also offers a bridge into the rarefied world of true performance boating because if a thrilling, responsive, exhilarating dream-ride is what you’re after, of course there’s a version for you. The standard WallyPower50 is powered by twin Volvo 480hp with IPS pod drives propulsion for a thirty knots cruise and a top speed of 36 knots, all the while combining performance with easy handling thanks to a perfect hull, and joystick control with optional DPS for close-quarters situations. For those who revel in real performance, there’s the Wallypower50X. Offered in two variants, each with quad Mercury outboards, the 50X multiplies the Wally factor and takes you for a serious blast. With the quad 400hp options, you’re looking at a 48-knot max with a range of 240 nautical miles. Step up to the quad 500hp option and watch the Wallypower50X power to more than fifty knots. It's not just about grunt, of course. The wallypower50 and 50X draw on a deep-V hull to offer stability at speed and the ability to cruise faster even in bigger seas, meaning more scope to enjoy everything the wallypower50 offers in more conditions.

New Model: Wider WiLder 60

Wider debuted its stunning new WiLder 60 in early February 2024, launching it at the Wider Vision Hub, the brand’s 2023 opened shipyard in Fano, Italy. Delivering superyacht levels of custom finish and supermodel looks in eighteen meters plus a thrill-a-minute high-performance package, the WiLder 60 is the apogee of brilliance, designed and realized to exceptional exterior spaces and exquisite interior styling and finishing, conceived to appeal to the wilder side in us all. With design coming from Wider Centro Stile, the in-house design team, the first WiLder 60 is a showcase in Wider’s commitment to excellence and the genius of its new WiLder brand. The first WiLder 60 has been built for a European owner and her custom layout and finish has been completed to the owner’s exacting specifications. Coupled to the performance hull, which was developed by the naval architecture team at Wider Engineering, is an interior that features two twin guest suites amidships plus a forward owner’s cabin with inviting centerline double and starboard-side ensuite. Between the two is a saloon equipped with designer galley cabinet and a relaxation area with sofa and television. Interior touches include luxurious leathers in contrasting shades of beige, marbles, brilliantly conceived lighting and beautiful gloss finishes that draw on Wider’s extensive experience building some of the world’s finest superyachts. The sumptuous and sensual textiles and textures hint at elegant debauchery, the very essence of the WiLder 60’s raison d’ĂȘtre. Up top, the WiLder’s appeal to the wild side is clear there’s a forward party deck, aft social deck with sun-pads and alfresco dining area, and a central helm. From here, the owner will be able to fully enjoy the sparkling performance of the WiLder 60, propelled by twin Man 1300hp engines, achieving a cruising speed of 35 knots and a maximum speed of forty knots. A 325-nautical-mile range ensures that no party is too far. While the first WiLder 60 was launched at the Fano Vision Hub, where the testing of new models takes place, the WiLder series will be built at Wider’s Superyacht Hub in Venice, where two more bespoke WiLder 60s, each set to stun on their respective launches are already in build. The much-anticipated arrival of the first WiLder 60 also marks Wider’s second significant milestone in this 2024, following the launch of the WiderCat92, the brand’s first multihull. Both these striking additions to the Wider fleet are not only symbolic of engineering and design talent that lies within the company, but also of its path of growth from groundbreaking superyachts into all areas of the bespoke yacht market.

Project: Solaris Power 60 Coupe

Solaris Power present the project for a new 60 Coupe, as designed by Brunello Acampora of the famous Victory design studio from Naples, Italy, the designer of all its models.  The 60 Coupe will use same hull as the 60 Open version set to debut at the end of this year, of which it will also share the spot as flagship and largest model to date of the Solaris Power range, although the Italian yacht builder did at some point have a project for a bigger 78 model.  Choice will be an important part of the Solaris Power 60 Coupe with the model being offered with three lower deck choices, of three or two double cabins.  The standard layout will offer a master suite forward, with two guest rooms amidships and a relaxing sofa in between the cabins with the guest shower head opposite.  A-cabin version is a different to the standard layout three cabin three head version, with the master stateroom moving at midships, and the third cabin moving to port side, with B-cabin version offering the same layout but with the third cabin replaced by an L-shape relaxing sofa in between the en-suite cabins.  The living on the Solaris Power 60 Coupe is all on the main deck, with an astern galley layout, L-shaped sofa further forward, and helm station to starboard.  Tender storage is in a garage underneath the sun-pad aft.  The Solaris Power 60 Coupe is to be powered by twin Volvo 600hp as standard, and optional 725hp or 1000hp engines with IPS pod propulsion.  Top speeds are estimated up to 27 knots with the standard engines, and go up to 36 knots from the large twin 1000hp option.

Project: Seanfinity T6

Seanfinity present the T6, a project for a luxury walkaround sport yacht with a length of just under sixteen meters, as designed by Gianluca Caputi, naval architect designer but also part-owner of the Italian boat builder.  For the T6 the Italian designer presented a perfect synergy of a high end performance sport yacht, offering luxury accommodation below deck. For this the Seanfinity T6 represents a nice mix of spaces both inside and out, with a lower deck featuring three all en-suited cabins with a saloon and galley between them, and a crew cabin for one.   An innovative feature for the Seanfinity T6 is the way it will use the fore-deck, with the usual sun-pad above the coach roof replaced by a U-shaped lounge sofa which can transform to a cozy sun-pad, which is also served by a second dinette, which becomes a lounge.  The Seanfinity T6 can be powered by twin 1650hp Man engines with Top System surface drives, or a quadruple Mercury 600hp outboard petrol gas set up.

Improve-it = Pardo GT52

Pardo present a GT52 with the galley-up version: placing the galley on the main deck provides a lounge area with TV or a third cabin with bunk beds on the lower deck level. Every corner was designed to provide living space typical of a luxury apartment. The GT52 inherits the best of Pardo Yachts innovation in terms of construction quality, technology applied to boating and the needs of owners who want to experience seas and oceans in total safety and autonomy.  The Pardo Yachts GT52 is confirmed as an absolute novelty, positioning itself between the Walkaround and Endurance ranges by addressing a segment of owners looking for even more liveable and comfortable volumes than the current Walkaround models, but without sacrificing performance. The GT52 in her galley-up layout proves Pardo Yachts attention to the organization of interior spaces, maintaining constant continuity with the exterior: a challenge aimed at affirming a habitability that transforms the perception of spaces, enhancing the time spent on board, especially during long cruises.

Project: Pardo GT65

Pardo Yachts expand it's GT fleet and present the GT65 project, the third model in this unique looking range. Designed by Nauta with naval architecture by Zuccheri this new GT65 project, preserves the iconicity and elegance that made Pardo Yachts a success from it's debut and beyond that of any forecast, while delivering an unparalleled onboard living experience. Positioned strategically between the GT52, presented in 2022, and the upcoming GT75 flagship set to launch this year, the GT65 serves as the latest addition to Pardo Yachts's versatile series of crossover runabouts. This third model in the GT range perfectly balances spacious interiors and exteriors, flexible layouts and performance, providing an exhilarating yet comfortable cruising experience.  Flexibility comes with two main deck and or lower deck choices, which all revolve if one chooses a galley up or down layout.  In both choices you always get a three double cabins layout, with the standard galley up option give a master stateroom forward with the bed to port side.  In the lower deck galley option the forward cabin becomes smaller and is located to centre, with a C-shaped galley located to starboard in between the three cabins.  The Pardo GT65 is to be powered by twin Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives.

Project: Italyure 50

At the end of 2023 Italyure announced it started construction for its upcoming and all new 50 flagship model.  Designed as the smaller 38 and 35 by Maurizio Marzocca, the Italyure 50 is a further development of the 45 project which was announced in 2022, and since then has been modified and extended to be bigger and more comfortable.  The Italyure 50 versus the 45 also features a redesigned T-Top which is now enclosed forward, and has been extended further aft.  For the 50, Marzocca like the smaller Italyure models presents a walk around sport yacht with length over all fore to aft easy deck use.  The exterior main deck layout of the Italyure 50 offers two central aft and fore-deck sun-pads, with a central console helm station which has a galley behind and a dinette for ten with opposing settees further aft. To the fore-deck in front of the sun-pad is also two opposite looking settees.  Down below the Italyure 50 is offered in two layouts; a two cabins two heads with an L-shaped lounger, and or a three cabins two head version.  The Italyure 50 is to be powered by twin Volvo 550 or 600hp with IPS pod drives, and or Cummins or FPT 650hp on line shaft propulsion.  Interestingly the Italyure 38 which is the first model presented by the Italian Neapolitan builder in 2021, and since then has sold in over twenty units, has seen a preference for line shaft propulsion.

Project: Swan Arrow 23.20 m

Swan's motor yacht division was launched in 2021 after a careful study of the market. Leonardo Ferragamo, Chairman of Nautor Group, had been thinking of entering Swan in the power segment for a long time, but he wanted to dĂ©but with a product able to make a difference, in an already crowded segment.  Ferragamo already entered the motor boating sector with the Camper and Nicholson brand which he bought in 2001 and launched two Ray Hunt designed traditional looking down-East inspired line producing two models a 42 in 2004 and a 50 footer in 2013, with three other projects which went up to a 42 meter super yacht.  The first Swan powerboat was the Shadow which arrived in 2021, followed by the inboard OverShadow 42 in mid 2023. The passion for this adventure, together with the market request have asked for a bigger motorboat leading us to this Swan Arrow project, a 23 meters sport yacht, designed according to the Swan iconic DNA.  Swan Arrow is a sporty and elegant yacht, designed by Jarkko JamsĂ©n, the motor division resident designer, who also penned the two smaller models. With elegant and contemporary design, refined lines and voluminous interior, Swan Arrow is a sport “open” yacht well suited to extended cruising.  To be build in resin infusion with a mix of glass and carbon fibre matrixes the Swan Arrow is a full walk around design, with a fully enclosed hard-top and a spacious walkaround deck plan. The protected cockpit characterized by an opening roof and sliding and pivoting glass door system allows a full panoramic view and an “al fresco” feeling when opened, while remaining cosy, protected and private when closed, perfectly conceived for a yacht designed to enjoy the very best while cruising and at anchor.  Another innovation of the Swan Arrow is the opening platform which becomes a beach area of about fifty squared meters, not floating directly on the water but taken to a higher level thanks to the use of the side openings, altogether creating a real terrace on the sea.  The interior of Swan Arrow displays all the typical details that made Swan yachts iconic, but also introduces new elements and materials.  The space has been maximized offering a “home like” feeling for this 23 meters sport yacht conceived with a two configuration choices of two or three guest cabins.  In the three double cabins layout Arrow accommodates six guests in a captivating space: port side is a dedicated galley, midships full beam master stateroom with a walk-in closet and en-suite; a VIP suite forward, and a twin cabin, both with their own head to create separate and private areas.  The crew quarters for two people is further forward, allowing great privacy for the owners and their guests.  The alternative layout offers two spacious double cabins with a lounge area amidships in between the owners stateroom and forward VIP suite, with a starboard side  saloon with a dedicated dining area and L-shaped sofa taking the spot of the third cabin.  The Swan Arrow is to be powered by standard twin Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives for a speed up to thirty knots, with an optional triple set up of the same engine and propulsion which should add an extra ten knots of top speed.

New Model: Wally Why100

For the end of 2023 Wally ended it's fantastic year by launching the first unit of the Why100 in the beautiful Venice setting. The one hundred, an acronym for its gross tonnage volume rather then size is the small of the Why series, which debuted in 2021 with the Why200, and today features three models which start from twenty and go up to 29 meters in length.  For the WallyWhy100 Luca Bassani presented something different, a bridge to the Power series in design and target usage, offering a less volume focused product then the two other larger Why models.  A hard-top sport yacht with spacious accommodation and a re-invented and un-edited main deck layout, the Why100 is unique in this segment for the very forward helm station which extends the use of the main deck pushing the pilot house for over two-thirds of the length, and presents an exterior sun-lovers aft deck which offers the same spaces of similar sized yachts.  The design of main deck is also un-edited with a central circle dinette. Below the lower deck of the WallyWhy100 offers three double cabins with an owners full beam stateroom at midships, a VIP suite to port side, and twin berth guest cabin to starboard.  A galley with twin bunk berth crew cabin is located forward with a separate excess to port of the central helm station on the main deck.  The WallyWhy100 is powered by twin Volvo 900hp or optional 1000hp engines with IPS pod drives propulsion for top speeds up to 27 knots from the large power option.

Project: Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi 500 Regina

Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi is showing us exclusive details for this new project and its next upcoming model, the 500 Regina, which is set to debut in mid 2024.  Details of the 500 Regina are very limited, with this rendering showing similar lines and looks to the 2023 debuting 440 model, which would suggest that this new FIM flagship is also designed by Alessandro Loittici of Design Alot firm.  Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi says that the 500 Regina will have a large tender garage, able to put a jet rib, and the usual Regina hybrid layout of a centre console and sport cruiser lower deck, which has given it so much favours by its customers.

New Model: Maxi Dolphin MD70 Power

Since launching the Power line back in 2007 with the 51 model Maxi Dolphin has teased for larger units in project form, first with an MD61 in 2008, then a 65 in 2016, and last this MD70, which was announced in 2020 and launched just before Summer 2022.  For this new project Maxi Dolphin changes design duties to Francesco Rogantin, who brings similar lines to the smaller MD51 and 53 models as designed by Roberto Starkel. Honestly if this was not told I would have assumed Roberto Starkel designed the MD70, as it is near identical looking to the smaller MD's, with slight evolutionary differences at the stern. The interior of the first MD70, is designed by Nuvolari Lenard who presented a two double cabins; forward VIP and midships master stateroom, with a crew cabin sleeping two.  As in any Maxi Dolphin light weight plays a big role in the construction of the MD70, with a carbon fibre epoxy vacuum build followed by interiors made of Nomex sandwich with all this giving a light unloaded weight of just 33 tons.  The first Maxi Dolphin MD70 Power which will have support duties to a super yacht is fitted with twin Man 1300hp engines coupled to KaMeWa waterjets propulsion for top speeds up to 43 knots and a cruise of 34.

New Model: Solaris Power 52 Open

Solaris Power continue to upgrade its walk-around line and present this new 52 Open model. A project like all Solaris Power of Brunello Acampora, the 52 Open follows the priorities of this six model line, for full length walk-around deck exterior spaces; and lower deck fully dedicated to overnight accommodation.  The Solaris Power 52 is offered in three exterior deck plans with the choices revolving around the central dinette and galley-wet-bar layout, and comes out as standard with two opposite settees called layout B, C-shaped dinette looking aft layout A with the galley becoming an L-shaped, and layout C with a forward looking dinette.  The choices of the Solaris Power 52 do not stop, with two lower deck plan choices; two cabins version with central master room, and a three cabins layout relocating the owners suite forward, and two cabins at midships.  In both versions the lower deck is fully dedicated to the cabins, no dinette or galley option available.  An optional crew cabin is available in the two cabins version, located to port side with separate entry from the main deck.  Other options in the Solaris Power 52 are the flip down bulkheads which increase deck space by about 30%, and are located in the middle of the cockpit area adjacent with the dinette.  During the Genoa boat show Solaris was telling me that the bulkhead option is ordered in like 50% of units sold, with the metallic colour chosen in like 90% of the units.  The Solaris Power 52 Open is standard powered by rather small for twenty tons twin Volvo 480hp, and or optional 600hp with IPS pod propulsion.  Speeds are thirty knots with the standard engines, and 35 knots with the optional larger 600hp engines.

Project: Blu Martin 55 Classic

Blu Martin presents the project for a new 55 Classic model, set to be based on the SeaTop 52 which debuted in 2010, with a complete redesign of the upper structure, now featuring a one piece side window, for a cleaner leaner more fluid look, with the addition of a large hull window spanning nearly the full length of this fully enclosed sport yacht.  The interior of the 55 Classic looks similar if not identical to what the SeaTop 52 offered with living main deck offering a C- shaped dinette and opposite galley, and a two head three double cabins lower deck, including of which is a full beam master stateroom.  The Blu Martin 55 Classic will also be very versatile for its power choices offered with twin Cummins or Volvo 600hp engines for ZF Zeus or IPS pod drives respectively, and Volvo 670hp with V-drive line shaft propulsion.

Projects: Princess S65, Princess V65

Princess present the project for a second generation S65, and a model set to replace the S66 produced from 2019.  The new Princess S65 gets the Pininfarina design treatment outside with a redesign of the upper structure, now cleaner and less busy with softer lines and the additional now fore to aft never ending hull windows.  The new Princess S65 is based on the 2023 outgoing 2019 launched S66, with an identical beam and a bit more length, and will feature the same astern galley four double cabins lower deck layout. Apart the looks the key differences in the S65 are in the aft deck, fore-deck sun-pad, and the sport-fly-bridge.  The aft deck will have a difference with the flybridge stair case now moved to port side from starboard, while to starboard side of the patio door will be an option to have a unit or an additional L-shaped settee looking aft. The fore deck sun-pad is to be split in two with a central passageway, with these offering a three movement pattern for a standard sun bathing layout, lounges with raised back, and a settee facing backwards to socialize with the forward C-shaped dinette.  The last of these changes is in the flybridge with the dinette located to starboard position and a wet-bar aft of the bridge.  The second generation Princess S65 just as the outgoing S66 is to be powered by twin Man 1400hp engines with line shaft propulsion for top speeds up to 38 knots.

The project for a new V65 will mark the fourth generation of this model, which is to be based and all but identical to the S65 but without a sport bridge.  So the V65 is the exact same as the S65, including the four double cabins and astern galley main deck layout, with the main difference that it does not feature a fly-sport bridge up top, this replaced by a larger half-roof size opening hard-top.  The V65 carries a certain history in Plymouth, with the first generation debuting in 2000 as the flagship and largest ever made Princess sport yacht in those times.  The first generation will sell very well for Princess, about fifty units in four years.  A new mark.2 which is a redesign of the first generation using the same hull but new super structure looks, fully enclosed hard-top with patio door, and a full beam owners stateroom will debut in 2005 produced till 2008.  The last third version is produced from 2018 till 2021 and features the same hull as this new version, which debuted with the S65 in 2015.

Project: WallyPower50

Wally present the project for a new Power50, a new entry level for its Power range which currently offers the slightly larger 58 model which debuted in 2022 and the still in project Power165 behemouth.  Blending the best of the Wallypower and the iconic Wallytender ranges, the new 50 is redefining the genre with its flexibility and lengthy features list. Every inch the little sister of the successful WallyPower58, is to be present in this upcoming Power50 which exhibits the same pure Luca Bassani inspired lines. Planar surfaces, flush decks and the incomparable glass-and-carbon dome over the cockpit are the signatures of WallyPower. Drop down wings enlarge the aft deck by six square metres to offer extended entertaining space, while the aft platform brings the water closer than ever.  The Wallytender DNA betrays itself in the extraordinary flexibility the Power50 offers, suitable for almost any operational profile. The WallyPower50 offers two aft separate sunbeds which maximise deck space, while a modular seating in the cockpit can provide dining for eight, with the possibility of four more on forward-facing bench seats. Tender, weekender or chase boat the Wwallypower50 can do it all.  The WallyPower 50 will feature an elegant interior, dominated by a supremely comfortable double cabin with Wally’s famous Magic Portholes, an impeccable bathroom, and a flexible open area that can be turned to many uses.  The WallyPower50 is to be powered by twin Volvo 480hp with IPS650 pod drives for top out 36 knots speeds, and easy cruising at 30 knots.
