Project: Mig 45

Mig present the project for a new 45, the first model of a new generation of models.  The Mig 45 is an evolution of the Italian open sport boat which was so popular in the eighties and nineties, with the Italian builder playing an important part in this success with its popular and successful 38 model. Designed by Federico Fiorentino the Mig 45 will be a walk around sport cruise offering an easy to use main exterior deck from fore to aft.  Two opening aft bulkheads will extend the beam by two meters when at anchor, while tender stowage will be in a garage under the central aft sun-pad.  Lower accommodation will be for an open plan sleeping four, with a double island berth forward, and twin berths at midships.  The Mig 45 keeps the tradition of the builder for a deep Vee twenty degrees deadrise performance hull shape.  The Mig 45 is to be powered by twin Volvo 480hp with IPS pod drives, with estimated top speeds up to forty knots, and a cruise of 34.  A HT version with a forward side cover only is also available.

Mig Marine New Web Site

Mig Marine presents a new World wide web showroom. Founded in the early nineties as Marine Yachting in Fiumicino, the company was renamed as Mig Marine in 2010.  Mig first model was the 38 designed by Mingarelli, who was an instant success thanks to its sporty low profile flush deck and comfortable twin cabin lower deck interior.  The Mig 38 was also a successful racer arriving second overall and first in its class in the Venice to Monte Carlo Endurance race 1998, with retired Tennis ace and powerboat lover Adriano Panatta at the helm.  Marine Yachting Mig extended the line in 2005 presenting the 50, and a year later in 2006 the 43.  Interesting fact is that the Mig name was chosen as a friendly challenge to the then neighbouring Tornado boat yard, both names representing popular fighter jet aircraft of the nineties. Today's Mig Marine range consists of four models: 35 Tender, 35, 45, and 55. All new models are designed by Federico Fiorentino are in project, with the 45 being in advanced construction phase. The new Mig website is only available in Italian language and takes you around with the following buttons: Home, Chi Siamo (about us), Storia (story), Gamma (range), Cantiere (shipyard), Club, and Contatti (contacts). Mig Marine also features a link to its Facebook social media page at the bottom.

Project: Mig 43 HT

The Mig 43 HT is a new hard top version for this recent addition to the line for this Rome based Italian builder. The hard top designed by Studio Mignarelli from Ancona is becoming always more requested in boat of all sizes due to its comfort, so Mig Marine which just re branded from the old Marine Yachting name decided to offer this accessory on one of its latest models, the 2006 presented 43. The hard top of the 43 follows classic looks and will have a huge central opening of about ninety per cent of the area. The Mig 43 hard top will also have clear sides in order to allow more air circulation. For the remaining the 43 HT keeps the plans of the standard 43 with huge sun lounger aft, C-shaped settee, helm station outside and a lower deck with a two or three cabins plan. Power is the usual good performance from Mig with the 43 powered by twin Volvo 370hp stern drives giving forty knots max, and 34 knots cruising speed.
