New Model: Med Yacht 42

Med Yacht is pleased to present the 42 model, a center sport cruiser livable outside from fore to aft, and inside thanks to its two cabins interior. Designed by Enrico Gobbi, designer of various custom high end super yacht makers from Dreamline, ISA, and Rossinavi to name a few names, the Med 42 presents itselft with minimal clean lines. The interior of this high-end sport cruiser offers full height headroom, and offers a forward double island berth, a large shower head bathroom to starboard, bench style sofa, and a second double berth at midships. Outside the Med Yacht 42 offers full enjoyment from fore to aft, with full walk around deck. The layout offers a dinette for six which transforms to an aft sun-pad under which is also a tender garage, a galley under the T-top and behind the center console, a fore deck sun-pad on top of the coach roof, and two opposite settees further forward.  The Med Yacht 42 can be powered with three propulsion choices; stern drives, twin or triple outboards, and Volvo IPS pod drives, with the standard engine power being twin Mercruiser 350hp petrol gas engines with stern drives.

Project: Med Yacht 42

Med Yachts from South of France continue to evolve its range and present this project for a new 42 designed by Enrico Gobbi of Team4Design outside, naval architecture by Sofia Antipolis of Rivoyre Engineering, and hull by Gilles Vaton.  As the other Med Yachts the 42 is to be build in Poland by Galeon.  The news here is that the French company has trusted exterior styling and design to Enrico Gobbi, who takes over from Gilles Vaton still trusted with hull shape and previously also a designer of the Med Yachts 48 and 52 models and the projects of the 38 and 60 which so far have never materialized.  The Med Yacht 42 is by my understanding an evolution of the 38 project.  As all Med Yachts the 42 will feature full deck space use from fore to the stern bathing platform all connected by a walk around which takes you to the aft dinette, galley and central console both covered from the t-style hard top, up to the fore-deck sun-pad.  Below is space for two cabins located forward and midships, with an L-shaped settee, and a well sized shower head to starboard.  The Med Yacht 42 will be powered by twin Volvo 400hp with stern drives, or 370hp, 435hp or 550hp engines with IPS pod drives.

Project: Med Yacht 60

Seeing its success with the Med Yacht 48 which has sold in ten units and for 2016 has received a full model update, the French company looks at expanding the line and presents a project for a new 60 flagship. The Med Yacht 60 is scheduled for a 2018 debut, and features similar aesthetics for a big day yacht with huge exterior spaces which use all the deck from fore to aft. Just as the smaller Med Yachts, the 60 will also be powered by Volvo IPS pod drives.

Project: Med Yacht 38

Med Yacht from South of France for 2016 is showing more signs of expansions and things to come in the near future, and after launching a new 48 model presents the project for a new entry level 38. The Med Yacht 38 follows the bigger sister with a classic minimalist style integrated into a safe sport cruiser featuring a full walk around, and an all usable deck space from stern to fore.  Cabin details and power options are not advised for the Med Yacht 38, but the rendering above does show IPS pod drives fitted.
