Web: Mag Bay New Web Site

Mag Bay presents its new virtual World wide web showroom.  Mag Bay was founded in 2016 by Mike and Barrett Howarth.  In reality the story of Mag Bay starts in 1969, when Mike Howarth enters into boat building becoming a fiberglass tooling and plug creator for wood boat construction in California.  After this Mike joins Pacific Trawler and Islander Yachts, and here he meets Henry Mohrschladt, with the two joining forces and founding Pacific Seacraft, building thousands of sailboats and selling this business in 1989.  One year later to this Mike and Henry began building a 35 feet flybridge sportfish cruiser, which in 1991 they launch and introduces the Cabo brand.   After a sixteen year run in 2007 Mike and Henry sell Cabo to Brunswick.  In 2016 pushed by his son Barrett Howarth, Mike launches the new Mag Bay brand first with a 33 feet outboard powered center console.  In 2020 Mag Bay launches its new second 42 model.  Mag Bay new website takes you around with the following buttons; Home, Design, 32CC, 42, Videos, History, Reviews, Dealers, News and Contact.  Mag Bay is also on social media with a link at the bottom of the page taking you into its Instagram. New Model: Mag Bay 42

Mag Bay presents its new 42 model.  This the second model in the Mag Bay line following a 33 outboard center console which by end 2019 had arrived at hull number 35.  Designed by Micheal Peters the Mag Bay 42 is a fine looking express sportfish cruiser, in a market which contrary to a decade ago or before, and due to the success of the outboard center consoles is really flat at the moment.  The Mag Bay 42 is powered by twin 1000hp Volvo with line shaft propulsion.  No speed data has so far been announced.  The first hull from design to tooling took just over six hundred days to complete, showing the amount of technical detailing that Mag Bay has went before it launched its new big second model.  Founded in 2016 Mag Bay comes from the same family which founded Cabo in 1991,  who are renowned for getting production and details close to perfection.  With this model the Mag Bay founders return to a style of an inboard powered sportfish cruiser, which with the previous brand they dominated in the sub forty feet size, especially in between late nineties and up until 2007.  History might repeat itself again, I guess time will tell, the product does seem to have all the credentials to do it.

Project: Mag Bay 42

Mag Bay is a fairly new sportfish brand founded in 2016 from Adelanto California, and as the address says to the fanatic sportfisherman it is indeed created by the people who founded Cabo, which was one of the most popular sportfishing machines under the fifteen meter size up until the first decade of the new millennium. The company started with the Mag Bay 33CC center console outboard model in 2016, and now in 2018 presents the project for a new 42 model.  It is interesting that after all these years the Mag Bay 42 will mirror some of the second generation Cabo models, with design for example being trusted to Micheal Peters.  There is no interior layout plans out yet but Mag Bay has already said that the 42 will feature a one cabin plus saloon, galley and shower head cabin layout.  Performance is estimated for a forty knots plus speed at wide open throttle with twin Cats 715hp engines running on line shaft propulsion.
