New Model: Haines 320 Aft Cabin

When the very first Haines 320 originally hit the water in 2004 it captured the imagination of both the boating media and the boat buying public, winning awards and receiving glowing reviews. With everyone who either tested the boat or owned one for themselves, all equally impressed by the amount of accommodation delivered in a boat of just ten meters in size.  After years of selling in large numbers, this popular model has at last got its deserved full restyling. With a complete overhaul of the boat's overall look, further improvements to the boats accommodation and layout, plus more consideration given to the practical issues of boarding and alighting.  Winning a prestigious Motor Boat of the Year award, the original 320 also received a 9/10 review from the Motor Boat Monthly magazine. The new Haines 320 Aft Cabin now sees even more accommodation, with the first example recently launched featuring sleeping accommodation for six, two dedicated double cabins, two separate toilet/shower compartments, two helm positions and two generous seating areas in the saloon and on the upper deck.

Improve-it = Haines 32 Offshore

For 2018 Haines has decided to improve its 32 Offshore sedan model.  The revamped 32 Offshore cruiser featured significant changes to its original layout, now providing an impressive spacious owners cabin with separate toilet and shower compartments. However the key feature of this new design is the open plan saloon and galley area with its multi-configuration seating arrangement. This layout allows owners and guests to comfortably dine either in the saloon or in the aft cockpit area, through the simplicity of rotating the saloon settee from its standard L-shaped arrangement. It also provides the much appreciated flip-up double navigation seat to starboard, while the helm position also benefits by the location of the new side door feature.

Project: Haines 400

Late Summer 2015 will see the launch of the flagship model to the Haines range as the new 400 model makes its debut at the Southampton boat show in September.  Soon to come into production, this boat will feature a large master aft cabin and an equally spacious guest en-suite forward cabin. A spit level saloon  galley  dining area and a spacious aft upper deck makes this model an all-round craft for entertaining.  The boats exterior further impresses with the aesthetically pleasing window lines of the superstructure, flush fit hatches and the long hull windows appearing to give extra length to the stunning hull.  Under way at sea this boat will not disappoint either, with twin Yanmar 370hp engines delivering a comfortable and impressive 30 knot plus performance.

Improve-it = Haines 35 Offshore

One of the popular Haines models, the 35 Offshore gets added with new choices which shows versatility from this family run company. During the past September in the Southampton show Haines presented a new walnut interior fit out, which now sits as an alternative to the standard cherry wood finishing to the 35 Offshore. This new choice adds to the popularity of the 35 Offshore, who has received various consensus from customers and media alike for its layout plan having an owners suite shower located below, comfortable living area on the main deck saloon, and twin diesel power which give speeds up to 18 knots to the semi displacement hull.

Web: Haines New Web Site

Haines Marine from the United Kingdom presents its new virtual online showroom. This UK builder is at the moment a bit unique in its country for a few reasons. Most important is that it is still owned by its founders Bob and Mary Haines who established the company in 1980. But other important reasons are that Haines is one of the few British builders who designs its boats around British weather, and also has an inland waterways or offshore hull choice for some of the models making its cruisers ideally suited for river cruising. In its successful history Haines has also received the prestigious Motor Boat Monthly Customer Service Award. Located in Norfolk on the East Coast of Britain, today Haines builds a total of six models which start from the 31 Sedan, and end up with the just introduced 400 flagship. New Model: Haines 400

Haines is a UK builder mostly known at home who specialize on British looking motor cruisers. This Norfolk based boat builder recently launched its latest flagship model the 400 which was presented the past July, and made its official debut during the Southampton 2010 show. Although I found about them only recently, Haines has been in business for thirty years since 1980, and is good to see a company still believing in improving and taking to the future a British looking design. The new Haines 40o is as any pure British cruiser a forty feet aft cabin motor cruiser with a superstructure design by Justin Haines. Having contemporary British looks with proven sea keeping ability, the 400 represents a leap forward for Haines upgrading its size by five feet from its previous large offer, but having also choices at heart in hull shape planning or displacement, engines single or twin, wood type options, but also for a further dinette to port which reduces the galley size. The 400 incorporates latest trends toward light spacious living areas, with large bonded windows and roof hatches. The exterior plan offers a large enclosed aft deck area with seating for eight, double helm to starboard with an easy to operate canopy, and wide side decks for safety which lead to the fore deck sunbathing area cushions forward. Interior accommodation plan presents a U-shaped saloon, entertainment centre with TV on the aft bulk head, and galley with two large double master cabins with spacious en-suites below. The galley is an impressive feature of the 400 with spaces abounding and full beam offset size from port to starboard sides and includes a large stainless fridge freezer, four burner hob, combination oven microwave, and good work top space. Fitting out is in light oak veneer finish with walnut steps, flooring to the galley, feature panels, along with blinds to all windows giving a contemporary look. Hull one which featured a planning hull was fitted with twin Volvo 330hp engines giving 30 knots wide open throttle speeds. Important to note that choices are part of the 400 not only in hull shape planning or displacement, engines single or twin, wood type options, but also for a further dinette to port which reduces the galley size.
