Project: Garlington 80 Flybridge

Founded in 1980 Garlington has in little time, gained a reputation of building among the most high-technological, light and fast sportfish yachts in the market.  Now the forty year plus custom sportfish builder takes the next step in size by presenting the project for a new 80 Flybridge flagship.  While Garlington did have an 80 in the first decade of the noughties, delivered in three units between 2000 and 2005, two of which in enclosed bridge these were actually build by McMullen and Wing in New Zealand due to space constraints.  This new Garlington 80 Flybridge will share similar proportions to the 61 and recently launched 71, and like its smaller siblings is to be build in Stuart, Florida.  Garlington is far not very specific on the model, accept that preparation to start construction are complete, with a four or five double cabins layout, and as usual from the Stuart custom sportfish builder top speeds over forty knots.

Project: Garlington 48 Flybridge

Garlington is currently building this new 48 Flybridge model.  A new entry level flybridge model, the 48 is based on the lines of the current smallest flybridge offer the 61, and possibly share hull lines with the 49 Express.  The Garlington 48 Flybridge will offer an interior with two guest cabins; a master cabin forward, and guest room with two bunk berths to port side, with a shower head located to starboard.  The living and dining is located as all and or most sport-fisherman on the main deck, with dinette to port side on entrance, with an L-shaped galley behind.  Unlike its bigger sister the Garlington 48 Flybridge will have a central entrance passage way with two mezzanines looking to the action on the aft deck.  No power or performance data is yet mentioned though as most Garlington's expect a forty knots plus performance.  Garlington has been on a roll in recent months, having received a few orders of its current 71 flagship which it splashed in 2021, with a new flagship also reported on the works.  Watch this spot for information on the new flagship.

New Model: Garlington 71 Flybridge

Garlington’s constant refinement since 1980, continues with the new 71 which is built on the success of the 61, but with larger spaces and increased capacities. The 71 is based on the hull form and almost identical proportions of house and bridge with a few subtle improvements to the smaller model.  The first 71, which is build title m/y Miss Behavin was ordered by a previous two Garlington a 58 and a 61 owner.  The Garlington 71 Flybridge offers a four stateroom three head layout, with an owners stateroom at midships to port side.  The first Garlington 71 is powered by twin Man 1900hp engines with top 41 knots speeds reached in its first sea trials.  The Garlington 71 Flybridge seems to have left a nice impression with two more units currently under construction.

Web: Garlington New Web Site

Garlington from Florida US presents its new virtual web showroom.  Garlington is a US custom sportfish builder, founded and located in the South East Florida area.  The custom builders in this area are not even a handful today, as the majority of these are indeed located in the Carolina's.  Richard Garlington founded the company in the eighties when not satisfied with what he was seeing,  built his own custom sportfish with the help of designer Dan McCarthy a famous submarine architect in the sixties and seventies. Unlike other custom sportfish builders Garlington today builds its boats with cored composites of Glass, Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, and Corecell.  Garlington current line up features five Sportfisherman models from 44 to 80 with the 49 designed by Ullberg being the latest news to come from the Florida company, and is currently in completion phase.  Garlington new web site takes you around with the following buttons; Home, About Us, Models, News, Contact Us, and Construction.

Project: Garlington 48 XPS

Custom Sportfish builder Garlington from Florida USA presents the project of the 48 XPS. This new project will be Garlington second in small size model, and just as the smaller 44 is an Express Sports Fisherman. The 48 XPS is designed by Ullberg who presents exterior lines with a soft reverse shear line shouting a bit of a Carolina style. The exterior aft deck is the usual fisherman's paradise with an aft central fighting chair. Two steps lead to the raised area which is reserved for entertaining and will have two L-shaped benches to the sides, and a central pompano style helm station. The accommodation standard arrangement is an owners separate cabin to fore, a dinette, a bench sofa, C-shaped galley, and shower head. Construction follows Garlington unusual for a custom builder high tech approach of a fully sandwiched hull with top quality materials of glass, kevlar, carbon fiber, and Corecell materials. Imron paint is used for the painting and finishing of the Garlington 48XPS.
