Project: Clipper Heritage 46

Clipper present the project for a new Heritage 46.  This project is a replacement to the traditional and popular Heritage 40 reinvented and re-imagined for today’s boating needs but still retains those classic Clipper styling cues.  The new Clipper 46 is designed as a semi-displacement hull capable of speeds of twenty knots and planing at fourteen  comfortably. She can be built as a single or twin engine selection and has the keel as the lowest part of the boat of course.  The Clipper Heritage 46 upgrades to a two cabin and two bathroom layout and has a really large saloon area on one level with the cockpit, while boasting a much larger cockpit than the 40 it replaces. Plenty of customizing is available for this layout from the traditional to more contemporary.  Hull one currently under construction will have a port side galley with forward facing cruising seat on the port side and a double helm chair layout on the starboard side with a pilothouse door amidships to the walk around decks. She will have a fiberglass hard top on the very large flybridge along with seating for ten and a flybridge helm. This first 46 will come in a gloss mahogany finish for a very high end and luxurious feel and will be powered by a single Volvo 600 HP diesel engine.

Improve-it = Clipper 52 Cordova

Clipper has launched a pilothouse layout for its popular 52 Cordova Series II.  The pilothouse is a new option for the internal layout, offering the crew a dedicated navigation station forward, beside the helm. The navigation station includes a wide, upholstered bench seat, fold-up working table and space to spread paper charts. To accommodate the navigation station, the Clipper design team moved the galley aft, and redesigned the saloon to offer a U-shape lounge with a multi-purpose dinette table. The dinette table slides out for easier access and is mounted on a gas strut pedestal. The table can be lowered to create a coffee table effect or to operate as the base for a cushion that turns the lounge into a generous double bed. Of course, the Clipper 52 Cordova with the pilothouse option maintains all the classic Clipper features including the three double cabins, walk-around decks, side and aft boarding doors, stainless steel sliding aft saloon doors and air conditioning throughout.

Project: Clipper 54 Hudson Bay

Down under Clipper Yachts has been hard working developing a new line of sedan sport yacht and cruisers for the Australian boating lifestyle and so here come the first project of this new line, the 54 Hudson Bay planned for a worldwide launch at the Sanctuary Cove boat show coming May 2011. The design brief for the first Hudson Bay model was to combine classic styling with contemporary lines, and most importantly a functional sport yacht layout for family boating with a good livability. Saying it in more basic this means the new Clipper wants to unite a live aboard concept with that of a day boat. Two lower deck accommodation designs will be available. A choice between a three cabin two bathrooms plan, or two cabins two heads with a rear kids cabin for teenage privacy. In the two cabins version the full beam mid ship owners room also gets a full bathtub in its en-suite head. Living area of the 54 Hudson Bay is located on the main deck with galley and L-shaped saloon settee divided by the aft cockpit with patio doors. Tenders will be mounted on a standard hydraulic swim platform aft which makes launching recovery easy. The 54 Hudson Bay will also unveil a unique design for this size with the feature of a foredeck lounge area along with a walk through seating and dining. Clipper believes this new Sport Yacht Hudson Bay range will offer families a good blend of indoor and outdoor living and accommodation for days away at sea with a gorgeous exterior styling that exudes class and elegance. Clipper's blue water cruising credibility will also be evident on the hull design of the Hudson Bay which share similarities with the proven Cordova's which are equally comfortable cruising at 12 or 20 knots. A smaller 47 Hudson Bay is also on the works, this to be launched in the end of 2011. Watch this spot for details on this project.

Australia's Clipper Motor Yachts continue to upgrade its range and newer generation Cordova series with the project of a 48, sitting between the 45 and successful 52 model.
