Project: Austin Parker Mahon 80

Austin Parker present the project for a Mahon 80, a second in size model and flagship for its fully enclosed hard-top cruisers and yachts lines named to the capital city of the Island of Menorca.  As all Austin Parker onwards from 2008 the Mahon 80 is designed by Fulvio de Simoni looking similar to the Ibiza 85 flagship which launched in 2022, with the similarities stopping there.  Unlike the 85, the Mahon 80 is to be build in fiberglass and the hull is over a meter slimmer.  The Austin Parker Mahon 80 is an innovative fully enclosed hard-top which opens a lot when desired, from a patio door which fully disappears, to side windows which drop down, making the enclosed area of the main deck become rather open.  The living space of the Mahon 80 is to be located on the main deck, with a galley located astern and centrally.  The astern galley apart being something rare in this size, is also located centrally.  Another innovation in the Mahon 80 is the aft sun-pad, which is located two steps down from the main deck, becoming a part of the beach club when on anchor.  Down below the Austin Parker Mahon 80 offers a three or four double cabins layout, with two crew cabins at midships, with an option for an open dinette, or office space in replacement of the fourth cabin.  The Austin Parker Mahon is powered by twin Man 1000hp up to 2000hp in line shafts, or surface drives for the large engine option.  Speed estimates are for 35 knots top speed from the 2000hp engines with line shaft propulsion.

The corner astern galley, on the cockpit side of the saloon, features a full set of appliances and a large working area.  A folding plate glass door leads to the cockpit, which has a large sundeck that converts into a bench seat with central table for open-air lunches. The particular design of the stern, gives easy access to the bathing platform, which can on request can be hydraulic up and down to the sea.  The distinctive details, finishes and accessories of the Austin Parker style designed by Fulvio De Simoni are still very much in evidence, especially in the unmistakable dark blue livery, the wide, protected walk-around from stern to bow, the large sundeck, and the use of mahogany and teak.  The Austin Parker Mahon 46 is powered by twin 600hp Cummins or Volvo 480hp engines with IPS pod drives.  Estimated top speeds are for 32 knots with the 600hp and line shafts and 37 knots with the Volvo engines.

Project: Austin Parker Palma 86 Fly

Following the launch and raving reviews of the Austin Parker Ibiza 85 launched in 2022, the Italian yacht builder follows it with the project of the Palma 86 Fly.  A flybridge super yacht with slender proportions, the Austin Parker Palma 86 Fly also follows recent trends of having a free stern area which allows room for larger then usual tender, which when on anchor transforms to a large beach club.  The Austin Parker Palma 86 Fly also comes with a list of choices, from that of an enclosed flybridge, to an option of having a jacuzzi in the stern area, to the choice for a five cabins lower deck layout versus the standard four.  The Austin Parker Palma 86 Fly apart looking slender is also light, with an estimated loaded weight to be at just under 57 tons, and thanks to this allowing top speeds up to 33 knots with only twin Man 1400hp.  If you are more fuel sensible to this the Palma 86 Fly can also come powered by twin Man 800hp engines which give a top speed of eighteen knots.

Project: Austin Parker 85 Ibiza

In the rebranding process, which began in 2020, Austin Parker Yachts, after the launch and sale of Ibiza 44 WA, 52 WA and Mahon 54 MY models, started the production of a superior class yacht, the Ibiza 85. This project flagship of Austin Parker is a 27-meter sporty style yacht, that encompasses class, distinctive style and innovative solutions with a fully custom design and technological proposals never used before on a boat of this size.  The yacht, of which the first unit has been sold, is in an advanced stage of construction, with launch scheduled for next June.  The close partnership with the Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, who designs the entire Austin Parker line, has created a yacht that encompasses both the wishes of the owner and the requests of the Shipyard, proposing an out of the ordinary layout, not only for the design and partitioning of spaces but also for the technical solutions adopted on board.  The layout suggested by the design lines is streamlined, elegant and sporty and does not let you imagine the enormous spaces that have been created in the cockpit, deckhouse and above all below deck.  Unlike other sports yachts, dedicated exclusively to young customers, the Ibiza 85, thanks to the technical solutions adopted on board, is also the ideal boat for more mature owners.  The first striking feature is the possibility of transforming the freedom created by the total opening of the saloon, in continuity with the huge cockpit that measures 15 meters in length, between the helm station and the bathing platform, into a "sedan", simply operating with electric controls and hydraulic movement: two side windows and the large glass door at the stern that closes and protects the saloon, emerging from the "retractable" position.  The cockpit is equipped with a sundeck, under which there is the hangar that houses the tender and other accessories, as well as a dining area with a central table and ten seats.  Under the streamlined hard-top, sofas and furniture equipped to serve the dining area and equipped with refrigerators and freezers.  The helm station, as befits a yacht of these high standards, has two pairs of seats, all independent, to accommodate the pilot, co-pilot and two guests in comfort and safety, considering the acceleration and performance that are achieved.  The bow is accessed through comfortable and safe protected passages, walk-arounds, on the same floor as the saloon, to best access a large area equipped with a "U" shaped sofa, two convertible tables, sundecks and four facing chaise lounges.  A beam of 7 meters, combined with a length of over-all of 27 meters of the super sport yacht, made it possible to satisfy the owner's requests to obtain five independent cabins; three double, two twins, each equipped with bathroom and shower, a large kitchen and three crew quarters, completely separate and equipped with independent services, enhancing endless possibilities of the custom construction.  As a true super sport yacht, the Ibiza 85 is equipped with two latest generation 2000hp Man engines and Arneson surface transmissions which gives an estimated cruising speed between 38 and 40 knots with a maximum of 45.

Austin Parker New Web Site

Austin Parker from Italy presents its new World wide web virtual showroom. Austin Parker was founded in 1998 with current owner Sebastiano Gravagno directing the entry of the brand, which was among the first in Italy to concentrate on building traditional down East lobster looking cruisers. This formula has been a success for the brand in its early years, but in 2005 it enters financial difficulty and closes its doors. In 2008 Austin Parker gets purchased by a group of Italian businessman all with a long standing interest and experience in the pleasure boating sector, with Gravagno returning as sales director.  This new venture takes Austin Parker to present a new more forward looking strategy focusing on a cross over style of a traditional down East lobster boat to that of the Italian Mediterranean cruiser and bringing onboard renowned Italian marine designer Fulvio De Simoni, who will design all the second generation models, debuting with the 42 in 2009.  In 2018 Sebastiano Gravagno takes over Austin Parker and starts the third phase which sees the now twenty year old boat builder enter into the sport cruiser yacht segment with the Ibiza Walk-Around models.  Austin Parker currently offers eight models which start with the just launched 38 Ibiza WA and go up to the AL 86 Fly.  Austin Parker new website takes you around with the following buttons: Brand, Yachts, Projects, Shipyard, Sales Network, and Contacts. Austin Parker is also found on social media hubs; Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube with button links located on the left bottom corner.

Project: Austin Parker AP 48 Sportfly

Here at PowerYacht we like what Austin Parker and its designer Fulvio de Simoni have done in recent years and while the inspiration of the hull lines goes to the Down East lobster boat, inside and on deck these are more about an Italian cruiser and yacht then anything else.  For 2018 Austin Parker is currently finalizing the 48 Sportfly, a flybridge version of the 48 Sundeck which was presented in Cannes 2017.  The Austin Parker AP 48 Sportfly will feature a more flybridge deck with helm station to port side, a forward facing settee to starboard, and a sun-pad taking a big percentage of the space available.  For those that don't know that is what most sub fifteen meter Italian flybridge cruisers featured up top a couple of decades ago. For the remaining the AP 48 Sportfly should be very similar if not identical to the Sundeck version which features a lower deck of three double cabins.  Power is from twin Cummins 550hp with shaft line propulsion which give a top of 28 knots.
