Web: Abati New Web Site

Italian builder, Abati Yachts presents its new World wide web virtual showroom. Founded in 2004 by Alessandro Patrizi, Abati started as a story of the past. Looking for his own boat, Patrizi chooses a lobster looking Traditional Cruiser from Austin Parker, and its top of the range 42 model. Hearing in a later stage that the Tuscany Austin Parker was in financial trouble decides to take over the building premises, but to leave the brand name to the owners mostly because of his idea in constructing bigger boats. In 2013 the Abati firm was purchased by a major business group. Abati will go on and build traditional inspired down East lobster cruisers and yachts with the 55 Portland being its first to launch model. The 55 looking very classic outside had important innovations mostly to what concerns its layout, which had an all separate entrance three cabins, which is still a unique feature in its size today. The second Abati was the 46 Newport took a more modern approach.  Today Abati builds four models; 46 Newport, 55 Portland, 58 Eastport, and its flagship the 60 Keyport. Project: Abati 60 Keyport

Abati presents a project for its second large model with this new 60 Keyport.  This new project follows the launch of the new Abati flagship 64 Freeport Fly as launched in the fall of 2010.  The 60 Keyport shows a nice design which follows a good balance of modern traditional as is one of the best looking models from the line the small 46.  The 60 Keyport is a hardtop traditional yacht with a lot of modern thinking going into the looks and function which blend well with the the lobster down East influenced lines.  A three cabin lower deck plan is to be found having an owners suite to fore.  A crew cabin or utility room is to be located at midships.  Power is from twin 800hp MAN which should give a nice top speed of 32 knots max and 26 of cruise.

New Model: Abati 64 Sessantquatro Fly

Abati Yachts continues to bring bigger traditional lobster looking yachts, and after launching the bigger flybridge 58, presents its much awaited 64 Fly flagship. An expected model from Abati for the logic because it will challenge other mostly Italian builder who merge classic lobster looking lines with those of a modern Mediterranean yacht. Worth to note that Abati has been very clever in this task with the small and successful 46 model. The Abati 64 Fly designed as all the range by architect Carlo Ciuti, takes a lot from the smaller Abati and presents a nice cross over of classic hints as the flared bow, the curved shear line, and modern touches as the sloop stern with tender garage, and the versatile interior. Inside it presents two choices for a three, or four double cabins. In both options the interior is much similar for the only fact that the fourth cabin takes the place of the laundry room located to port side of the lower deck. Power is twin MAN 1100hp engines which give a top 32 knots speed, and a cruise of 26.

The new flybridge of the 58 Eastport with central mast will also have a center positioned helm station, and two side benches. Not really an entertainment area but a convivial area for few during navigation. Power for the 58 Eastport will be from twin 800hp which gives a top speed of 31 knots, and a cruise of 25.

Project: Abati 64 Freeport Fly

Abati Yachts present its new flagship model, the 64 Freeport project, set to debut the coming summer. As shown from this Italian builder smaller models, the new flagship project continues the traditional lobster lines, but with a modern design influence, as the slanting stern with a big tender garage, and the well sized central ship windows for the full beam owners cabin. The 64 Freeport makes good use of its space, showing spacious exterior areas and intelligent cabin use. Its exterior deck offers 2 huge sunpads to fore and aft, something unusual for a traditional lobster yacht, but also the flybridge is made for the sun worshippers, showing its builders Mediterranean heritage. The interior welcomes you in the saloon social area, offering entertaining, dining and galley all in one place. The lower deck is all reserved for the three spacious owner and guest cabins and there en-suite heads.
