Project: Bavaria SR41

The Bavaria SR41 kicks off a new line of motorboats from the German boat builder. It combines the best of the sporty S-line and R-line from Bavaria. A comfortable cockpit, a large sunbed which can be transformed in no time into a lounge area with a table right on the waterfront and a large bathing platform. This makes the Bavaria SR41 the ideal sport cruiser for a perfect day on the water with family and friends. Bavaria also the SR41 a new dimension with an intelligent cabin layout.  The spacious midships located full beam owner’s cabin has its own bathroom, as does the guest cabin in the bow. Comfort and boating pleasure are the focuses of the new SR41, which is available as a soft top, hard top and coupe version.  The Bavaria SR41 will be powered by twin Mercruiser 355hp gas petrol engines, and to twin Volvo 380hp.  Propulsion will be stern drive with dual propeller.

  1. A new line of motorboats.... which is sadly the same as the old line of motorboats.
A hurried rehash of the S40. It certainly seems to be the same hull, engines and general concept - just there is finally the midships owners cabin with ensuite head the S40 (a.k.a. sport 400) should have had when it was introduced back in 2014. The 'new' aft sunpad is just a return to the Sport 39. Sad to see the continued demise of Bavaria. Once a main competitor to the Beneteau group, Bavaria is now pushing out standard ware devoid of innovation and priced below even many of the lesser known Polish brands. But apparently the banks have told Bavaria there is no money for development of new models. It's hardly surprising 2019 offered Bavaria yet another administration and subsequent financial reconstruction. Bavaria's model portfolio needs reconstructing at least as much as its finances.
