Boat Show - Dusseldorf 2011 Preview

Düsseldorf is looking forward to the 42nd edition of the Boot i.e. Boat Show, one of the world’s largest yacht and water sports trade fair, which will be welcoming enthusiasts from all over the world to explore its exhibition halls from 22 to 30 January 2011. After a difficult 2009 year, the mood in the international water sports industry has improved significantly. The positive trend is reflected in a lively demand for exhibition space. More than 1,550 exhibitors from fifty countries will be premiering their latest highlights, new water sports equipment and maritime services in seventeen halls at Boot 2011. Some 600 exhibitors come from outside Germany and will occupy almost half of the total exhibition space. The Netherlands are traditionally the most strongly represented nation among the non-German exhibitors, and 160 Dutch companies have booked a net space of almost 10,000 square metres. Also well represented are France with 65 exhibitors, Italy fifty, Austria forty, and the UK with thirty participants. Novelties are numerous this year; Aquanaut 1500 Global Voyager, Bavaria 43 Sport & 43 Sport HT, Boarncruiser 43 Retroline, Continental II 20M, Beneteau 34 Flyer Gran Turismo, Galeon 385 Sport, Kiel 41 Classic, Nord West 430 Sports Top, North-Line 42 Express, Linssen 430 Range Cruiser Variotop, Van Der Heijden 2400 Superior, and Tryvia 1300 GT Hardtop.
