A bit late in presenting this but after announcing project details in January pictures for the NC11 from Jeanneau where hard to come by. Launched by surprise in Dusseldorf the NC11 is a very inspirational model from Jeanneau aimed in a very competitive size challenging Scandinavian and Northern Europe builders, but due to its sport looks should also get attention down South in the Mediterranean waters. Designed by the usual Garroni who now takes care for nearly all Jeanneau power line, with concept by Premorel the NC11 is an enclosed sport cruiser but can transform and become very open thanks to the sunroof, side doors and fully opening four part patio door aft. Intelligent or shall we call them simple swiveling seats on the main deck also make the NC11 change its areas from dining to chilling in seconds, bring the inside to join with the aft deck. The NC11 also surprises for having big boat comforts built in like the glassed door by the helm station which leads to the side deck. Down below is a two cabin plan with owners double berth to fore, and a twin cabin for guest to starboard. It also has a very large head with separate shower. Power is from what I think are small twin 200hp Volvo, and so far after nine months from the release no bigger engine options seemed to be mentioned. Technical Data:

I like this boat but I don't understand why they don't name it: Prestige 350S

May be it will make sense the coming years, as it is now with Beneteau and the naming 'Monte Carlo'.
You have a point Fred. Even the new Flyer which sort of replaced the small Prestige 30 and 34 are very similar. I think they are trying to brand Prestige for the bigger 40 feet plus boats.
ReplyDeleteThe NC11, as the Flyer range and Prestige are all designed for the lines by Garroni, with some of the bigger Prestige having also under water lines by renowned Micheal Peters.
On the Monte Carlo Yachts I do not agree with you, as the Nuvolari Lenard designed 76 is a very different looking machine to the Beneteau Monte Carlo series designed by Andreani.

ReplyDeleteYes, I'm heading to the Southampton Boat Show on Saturday! not sure about visiting the Fairline though, they are not very cool, last time they had so snobby approach.
Sealine is way different, you can visit all their boats easily, still remember the F46 launch last time. As you know, I would had loved to see and visit the Azimut Magellano 50.
In London boat show last winter, I've visited the Azimut 38 Flybridge: I don't know exactly why, but with my girlfriend we felt immediately this boat was good, just for us!
All was at the good position, the good size and the right quality. My only concern was about changing the 'polyester' table that was at the Flybridge!
The 50 Magellano will be presented in Genoa. If you are lucky you might see in London on January, but I would not be to sure of this. But a fast trip to Genoa in a months time will surely make it. Where Azimut not ready to change a polyester table on the flybridge of the 38? Or was it the dealer? Heard the 38 is selling really well indeed, as apparently it feels only a fraction smaller to the 43, and is more to 100ks cheaper.
