Project: Huckins 36 Sportsman

Huckins is a legendary US boat builder from Florida founded in 1928, which presents it lastest 36 Sportsman project. This stunning addition to the Huckins line is definitely new, but it’s not so much an introduction as it is a re-introduction. Huckins, refer to this latest retro design as the 36-36 because the original 36 Sportsman was created by the company’s founder, Frank Pembroke Huckins, in 1936. Now, following a meticulous 21st century makeover, the Sportsman triumphantly re-emerges sporting a more accommodating interior, with headroom averaging a lofty over six feet, and is ready to be custom fitted to ones specifications. Standard layout is for a owners bedroom to fore, a separate shower head, and an L-shaped settee. Alternatively the settee can be replaced by an interior galley replacing the one outside. As with all Huckins custom yachts, the new 36 Sportsman features high-performance, fuel-friendly Quadraconic hull and is available with conventional twin V-drive propulsion or highly efficient jets. Construction will be with top quality core cell, E-glass, and vinilester resins. Power is from twin Yanmar 315hp with an expected top speed of 30 knots plus.
