Improve-it = Nimbus 250 R

The Nimbus 250 R, a classic representative of the Swedish builder image, has been given a serious face lift for 2010. Part of the popular Nimbus R series, the 250 R was introduced in 2001, and since it was greeted with enthusiasm for its innovative design with round stern and its slightly “pugnacious” look. The boat won the “Utmärkt Svensk Form” industrial design award, and has been a leading star product for Nimbus ever since. Hundred boats of the 250 R have been delivered to satisfied customers on the west coast of Sweden, Oslo and Stockholm; places that feature among the boat’s best markets, owing to the R series innovative design, and seaworthiness. The Nimbus 250 R has been given an overall face lift for 2010 and many properties of this already highly competent boat have been further improved. The major changes are a new larger helm with longer sides to protect both helmsman and passengers, an entirely new helmsman’s environment, space for fourteen inch navigation equipment, teak cabin door replaced by an elegant sliding door in smoked glass that slides in beneath the instrument panel, a new windscreen that matches the design giving better protection, more stowage space under the floor, batteries reposition for better use of space under the aft sofa, and a custom DLS audio developed specifically for the 250 R.
