Web: Nimbus New Web Site

Swedish Nimbus boats, which is part of the Nimbus Group present a new virtual showroom for the 2010 year. Nimbus Boats is the headlining brand of the Group which owns two other boat building companies. Born in 1969 the story of Nimbus started in a certain way with a coincidence and a help request from Volvo in the sixties, who at the time had difficulty to market its engines and penetrate the marine leisure market. Harald Wiklund Volvo Penta head of the period ordered a boat to design engineer Pelle Peterson. This 26 feet boat was named Nimbus by Peterson and launched on Lake Vanern on September 1969. A year later to this the Nimbus 26 wins boat of the year, and in 1977 brothers Hans and Lars Wiklund start the Nimbus Boats company officially. After forty years following its first model Nimbus is one of the biggest Northern European pleasure boat builders and today the Swedish builder offers fifteen models divided into four styles which are the Nova, R-Series, Coupe Cruisers, and Commander. Nimbus entry level model is the 230 R, and its current flagship is the 43 Nova. The new website takes you around with the following buttons: Home, Model Range, Store, News, Downloads, The Company, E-Power, Philosophy, Dealers, and Contact.
